If I could, I would give 0 stars. It says it will charge 2 dollars, and once you agree, e takes 66 dollars more for a membership that was hidden somewhere in the agreement. Contracted them right the way to cancel and get the refund but they are denying to give me my money back! Its totally a scam!

This site is a scam. They ask you to pay $5 the charge 50 and tell you it's for memeber ship fees. When the assured it'd only be $5zzthey won't refund you. Didn't help with question. This site is a ABSOLUTE SCAM!

Terrible experience. Two months ago, I urgently paid justanswer $1 to talk to a lawyer on the phone about an incident at work, I didn't end up speaking to anyone, rather writing out my case and later getting an email response... I have a strong feeling that at the time I understood it to be a one time payment, not a purchase of a membership (lawyers and their fine print! Haha!) I guess maybe I just agreed and forgot to cancel this, as there was a lot going on at the time and I really wanted to get help… so when I called customer service today, to have my "membership" canceled, a robot did all the work in 1 minute. Which was great, but I requested still to be connected to a human customer service representative, the robot said it would connect me and asked if I would like to take a survey after and I agreed to do that, then I waited to be connected to the next available representative —in total silence— not even elevator music! It was so weird! Like they want you to get confused and bored and frustrated and hang up, but the call was still going, so was I, and finally, after 12 minutes and 34 seconds, the robot came back. It asked me 4 questions about "how well" the "agent" who had "assisted" me: listened, understood, communicated, and helped………. I don't know if anyone will ever see this…. I'm not entirely sure any humans work at this company, just AI. Please be careful and best wishes

I began my session thinking this was the IRS. Upon answering questions, I was instructed there would be a $1.00 refundable fee, not additional charges. Per Margie my membership can be canceled, which I did, but no refund!

So I was on the internet Googling parts for my Saturn and all the sudden this Banner pops up says ask Saturn mechanic any question for $0.99 so I gave my credit card information and typed out my question. And right away cash app tells me you got billed $0.99. And then billed $34 so they haven't gotten back to me yet I called the customer service and have them on the phone long before the mechanic even got to my question and I explained to her I wouldn't ask any question for $35 much less $35 every month and I already knew that the money that was in my bank account was already supposed to go to another bill that just had not taken it out yet and since you had done anything for me and this was obviously some kind of big misunderstanding why don't you stop the thing and I don't Bill me since you haven't done anything for me yet that customer service rep was so rude oh no the only thing we do is not charging for the next upcoming month up next coming months apparently you ask a question then you get signed up for a monthly thing at $35 a month that's crazy who would do that so then I can email from the president of customer service oh no you asked your question we don't we don't do anything when somebody's ask the question oh yeah you don't do anything cuz you got my money they're rude they have no character and they're not that stupid they don't know that they're scamming everybody all you got to do is read all the reviews on this page and it will tell you so anyway not only did they charge me $35 but they cost me probably another $200 because they're bait and switch they put up a $0.99 Banner and then you don't know about 34 dollars till you already paid it so I talked to cash app and I said we can't do anything because it's pending so I'm sending a screenshot from cash I have apparently they paid the 99 Cents but the 34$ is still pending

I attempted to get technical help from Hulu. Instead, and not knowing, I was led to JustAnswer, which I wasn't sure what the connection to Hulu might be. The site said there was a one-time fee of $1.00 and it would be refunded. I quickly learned this business had nothing to do with Hulu. Anyhow, I figured that losing $1,00 was no big deal. The next day on my credit card, I saw a charge of $46 from JustAnswer. What? I never used the service. I immediately started a chat with a representative. I said I wanted to cancel the membership and a refund of the $46. I was told that the membership would be canceled with no recurring charges but NO refund. The policy, as pointed out by the rep was no refunds. I explained that I signed up by mistake the day before and I thought it was only a dollar and I never used the service. I was told the policy states no refunds. Being irritated, I threatened to write negative reviews and contact my bank for help. I did contact my bank (BOA), and after looking at the series of charges of $1 and then another immediately for $46, the bank quickly surmised that this was not an honorable practice and the bank would get my money back. I also canceled that particular card. In the meantime, I did learn that as a "One-time courtesy" Just Anwer would refund my $46. Too bad it took threats for them to make this decision. Anyhow, looking at the ratings of this company, there is a wide range. I would proceed cautiously!

I wanted to find out if I could re-load a Kindle book as the original was faulty.
I went into Just Answer and paid €1.00 for their advice. To my horror I found out they had debited my account by not just the €1.00 but also €45.00 for membership. They omit to mention this until you pay, which triggers a membership. I thoroughly recommend anyone considering to use Just Answer to NOT do so. It is a complete scam to rob people.

I went online to find info about my car and came upon this website. Posted my question then they asked for $5 to answer it with a five or seven day trial period. I paid the $5. My answer wasn't immediate but it was within 10 minutes. A couple of days later I'm looking at my online banking and I see that JustAnswer charged me $5 and $34 dollars on the same day the 15th of september. I canceled on monday the 19th, then called for a refund. The first lady I spoke with said there is a 5 day trial period and transferred me to another lady who said there is not a trial period for questions about cars and refused to issue me a refund. This is a bate and switch scam because the web site clearly stated that there was a trial period.

My dog got into some chocolate. After freaking out and calling my vet, they told me about a few websites that I can get a less expensive answer than taking him to the vet. I find this website and they claim "I can connect you to an expert for a one-time, fully refundable $5 fee!"
After chatting with the "expert" I check my bank account to see a $5 AND $29 charge.
So I then reach back out, only to be told that "upon signing up, there was text that outlined that you would be enrolling in a monthly membership, which will be a recurring charge until you cancel"
I tried to make a new account to see, and behold! There is. The only issue is that the font was about as small as Microsoft word will allow you to make it. Probably 1pt font. TINY.
The amount of disgust I have for this type of business behavior is actually unspeakable. In my case, I was thinking "omg my dog could die but the vet is $1,000, but I can get an expert answer for only $5!? Awesome!" But no, they're being sneaky and charging you extra.
The sad thing is, if I was told upfront, in big bold letters that it would cost me $35 to get an answer, I probably would have done it. But being this shady I just can not get behind. Shame on the owners of this business for not being transparent.
Highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

This site is a scam. You call for a one time question and they add you to a membership which is $46.00 monthly. I will be reporting them to the BBB. Don't use this site. There are other sites that don't do this.

Don't even want to spend any more time than I already have other than to say this company is a scam. Perhaps it's fine if you want to know how to assemble a table, but under NO circumstances would I ever recommend anything of a serious nature with this company. They will take your money, promise you "someone will be right with you" (LIE), tell you "sorry it's taking so long", blah blah blah. Bottom line is you are "talking" with an AI bot. I was even told by "customer service" (AI bot) that an expert Vet would CALL me and to keep my line open. Like an idiot, I kept my line open and watched and waited for 2 hours. No call, no email. Nothing. When I tried to request a refund, I got the AI bot again. They aren't even smart enough to change "Pearl"s name, so I got the same "customer service" (AI bot) every time. The AI is unsophisticated, so a lot of the responses don't even make sense or they auto-ask you what you already told them in the fake chat. The whole thing is a FRAUDULENT SCAM and you will have to jump through hoops to get a refund. If you do find yourself paying for this service that doesn't do anything for you, PLEASE use PayPal or a credit card where you can fight the charge. Otherwise you will just spend hours via chat, text and email where they will send you in to a loop, or truly a black hole in the middle of space. I can't believe some of the caliber on their Board of Directors. They should be ashamed and take more notice of the fraudulent activities going on at Just Answer. Perhaps they could just change the name of the company to Just Fraud, Just Kidding or Just a Black Hole. Take a look at the screenshots I included and you'll see the time-wasting circle they sent me in for hours. These aren't even half the texts; just the more important ones to see how their AI bot/fake customer service handled my concern. The one I circled in red shows they just kept passing me from bot to bot and wasted a ton of my time. Brutal.
Again, if it's something simple like "how long do I cook a hard-boiled egg" and you want to pay $30, then it's a great service. If it's something of any importance or urgency at all, move along and find a company that cares. This isn't it.

Do not use thier service, they will fraudulently take money from your account after claiming you only have to pay a $2 refundable fee. They will automatically subscribe you without your consent or knowledge. Beware, I lost $68 to this company, do not believe the positive reviews. The Assistant disabled the chat while I was asking why I was charged without my consent. Beware of them and do not patronize this fraudulent company.

Answer: I got scammed last year for just over $50k on what I thought was a legit investment site. Everything looked real — I even withdrew a small amount at first — then one day my account was “under review” and the site vanished. I reported it to the FTC and pretty much gave up hope. Months later, someone who saw my complaint told me to email cyberfundsrecovery12@ gmail. Com. I was super skeptical (once bitten, twice shy), but they actually knew exactly how these scams work. It took about 3 months of paperwork, verifications, and bank back-and-forth, but I got a big chunk of my money back. Not all of it, but way more than I thought I’d ever see again. If you’ve been scammed, don’t give up — there are people who can help, but be careful who you trust.
