I used this site several months and paid $37 for advice on my HVAC problem. Answer was very insufficient and did not work. Since then I have been charged $37 per month even though I did not sign up for the monthly fees and never used the site again. I have tried to get a refund of these monies but the customer service person said there was nothing available. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was promised a call back but did not receive a call back from him/her. Big ripoff for no service rendered.
I joined to ask a question and then received the bill for almost $50 for the answer in which I already knew the process discussed. I will say though the ability to actually chat or speak with a lawyer is comforting if it is a lawyer that you're chatting with.

Our non-profit organization joined JustAnswer November 10,2022 because of an issue we were having with Zoom Meetings. The issue was never resolved after hours of trying. At my request we decided to try again the next day. But before that could happened, we further investigated the matter ourselves and found that it was not a technical issue but rather a new feature by Zoom. We decided that we really didn't need JustAnswer tech support at this time and so we cancelled the membership December 12,2022. However, December's payment was still processed. When I called and spoke with a customer representative as to why, his answer was because we cancelled after the 10th. We can certainly understand that. However, although we cancelled December 12th and the payment was processed to cover the full mouth of December, then why does the tech support stop immediately without any refund? If we are paying $55.00 for a month of tech support, it only seems fair and right that our service should be covered for the entire month and not just for the two days. Therefore, as we are conscientious consumers, we cannot and will not recommend JustAnswer to any person or organization until they take a closer look at this business practice.

They pretend to charge you 2$ for a one time connection to an expert.
But you are actually charge 53$ for an automatic renewable yearly membership.
+ they did not even connect me to an expert.

I used this service for 2 months and cancelled 2 x. They kept charging me and I couldn't get my money back for the last month charged for services not rendered. Buyer beware, they are a scam. I even tried to ask for my money back this month and they never answered back. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

I signed up for justanswer.com to get technician support for my PT Cruiser and the technician seemed distracted. He only said "try this" or "check that" - stuff I had already tried. Then they tried to upsell me into a $26 phone call after I just signed up for a $34 membership. I responded very quickly but never got any input from the technician. I canceled my membership but when I asked for a refund... the supervisor was suddenly "busy" and my chat was terminated. Look elsewhere or find a real person. JustAnswer is JustCrap.

The first time I thought it was $2 to answer my question but it turned out to be $6 When that din't they called back and wanted $ 56 to answer the same question which was a no and now they call and email me every day JUST CRAP

They played around with the way they charge you 66$ to their membership, I thought I was paying 2$ but apparently not, like I barely have money for food let alone throw 66$ on a bad website that didn't help me with anything, what a disgusting way to make money. My question was whether they can provide a doctor's note or not, but they dodged it every time, just to tell me in the end that I have to pay more money to be able to get one. What a waste of time and money.

It says a $5 join fee and then they try and take $69 out of the bank not $5! What a rip! Then it declined on my card and they tried to take the money again after like 30 minutes and I was not even on the site! It says $5 join fee why are they charging $69?!

This is JUST a SCAM - they will show $2 to register, and silently Deduct $66, plus doctor fee is HUGE, Beware Guys Don't put any card detail with them! Else they will keep charge your card every month

Yep, normally I don't fall for this, but I did. It stated, ask a question for $5, okay, at my wits end on what is wrong (and I am mechanically inclined), contacted this group.
The tech said, yep, need to bring it in to the shop (which at this point and after 2 hours of diagrams and research) was the same thing I was going to do. No, "it is most likely this...or could be this"
Okay, only out $5. NOPE! TODAY THERE IS $30 MORE OUT OF MY ACCOUNT for a membership (to make it worse, the first thing it states, free first service question is free, WHAT? Why is the $5 out of my account also?
To top it off, the website and app have you go in a loop to get your information off their site, the loop is sending you to their app, then back to their website which opens a text box like you want to talk with a technician again. You have to click pretty quick on payment area before this pops up again. Not a fan

They said it was a $1 trial fee. When I went to pay it was actually $35. I only found out later it was a 35 dollar a month commitment. My experience using them was a 2 hour and 15 minute response only to ask a question. I answered right away. Then a 2.5 hour responce with another question. After answering that question I got a responce 7.5 hours later with another question. After answering that question immediatly no more questions or answers almost 6 hours later. They were zero help on finding the problem. I have since found the problem myself. I would not recomend using this service.

They are literally trash. They take my money and didn't even provide me a good advice for my problem. When I ask for my refund they just cancel the chat and show a error they took my 20 hours salary which I earned and didn't solve my problem. I will never believe these sites again

They say they're gonna charge you $5 (fully refundable) and then you get a random charge for $51 that they will not refund.

Joined to ask 1 question. Asked said question, find out later, they billed the original $2.00CA and then an additional $95.00. Called Customer Service, they tell me I can't get a refund since I agreed to a "Monthly Membership."
I wasn't aware that there was an obligation to sign up for a monthly membership to ask 1 question, which they advertised at $2.00. Total scam, not worth a dollar.

I have come to realize that a call I made on 1/29/21 turned into a monthly charge of $34 beginning in February of 2021 until this past month of November 2022 by "JustMechanic".
I called "JustMechanic" aka "JustAnswer" on Saturday, 12/3/22 when I became aware that this has been charging to our account every month $34 since February 2021. I made a call on 1/29/21 and was charged $5 at the time and then the $34 charges started coming.
On 12/3/22 I was informed by JustAnswer that I had a "membership" and they would need to cancel it and they could only refund me 3 months worth of charges. On Monday, 12/5/22, I called our credit card company, Chase, to dispute the charges and have them fight for us. Because of timing, Chase will only fight for charges from August 2022 to now.
JustAnswer is not using straightforward business practices. JustAnswer/Mechanic never provided any written documentation about charges until this past Saturday, 12/3/22. If they are going to make monthly charges they should be required to share that the credit card is about the be "charged". There is nothing from them and I have the ability to search in my email account key words with years of data and information and there is NOTHING from them until the day I called to CANCEL something I had NO IDEA I was subscribed to. This is wrong on so many levels and takes advantage of people. Please help me to get credit for the additional 19 times we were fraudulently charged on our credit card. Please help me to tell my story so others are not taken advantage of as well. Where can I post all the ZERO stars.

Answer: I got scammed last year for just over $50k on what I thought was a legit investment site. Everything looked real — I even withdrew a small amount at first — then one day my account was “under review” and the site vanished. I reported it to the FTC and pretty much gave up hope. Months later, someone who saw my complaint told me to email cyberfundsrecovery12@ gmail. Com. I was super skeptical (once bitten, twice shy), but they actually knew exactly how these scams work. It took about 3 months of paperwork, verifications, and bank back-and-forth, but I got a big chunk of my money back. Not all of it, but way more than I thought I’d ever see again. If you’ve been scammed, don’t give up — there are people who can help, but be careful who you trust.
