I don't care what the Better Business Bureau says. I signed up for a one time legal question, got my answer, was happy with it. I never noticed that I was signing up for a full-time membership just got my bill for $46 and it cannot be refunded.
I asked a FREE question. The next day they charged my credit card $5.00 then the next day they charged the same card $46.00. Their ad said ask a free question. Don't use this service.

I never signed up for their so-called "service"; I never completed asking a question; they never did anything except get my credit card info upfront. They never connected me with any experts (probably AI, anyway). They immediately charged my credit card 2 fees: one for $5 and one for $30 (purportedly a "membership" fee). They're crooks.
I just got off the phone with my credit card company and asked them to remove these 2 fees. They will also try to make a note that Pearl.JustAnswer.com is a fraud so that other card holders don't fall victim to this scam.

The hidden charges of $46 where as that they only mention it is $5 to ask a question. If I would have known that you would automatically be enrolled for monthly membership and also be charged I would have stayed away. Read the super fine print if it really does show up.

**DO NOT USE THIS SITE**
I was sent to this site to find a solution for a problem with my watch. They initially stated, I think it was $37.00. Next they sent me to a technician who said that he would take care of it for another $50.00 which I refused and come to find out that they charged my account $60.00 and I received absolutely nothing in return. They don't refund money.

I used the service fior a dishwasher issue. I was quoted a price of $5.00 "totally refundable." I looked at my credit statement this morning and they charged me $30.00. I contacted them and they sent me a link to pay another $5.00 to speak to an attorney. They would not assist. I found a number and called with my concern only to be told it's unfundable. It's all a scam.

I didn't get a response from someone until the next day, but I have a bearded dragon, so that could have been the reason why. Either way, I had a few serious questions and she was very helpful. The vet definitely put my mind at ease!

My seeking an appliance 'expert' put me in a chatroom for $5. That quickly was elevated to an offer of 'a personal phone call with an upcharge of $24...it went downhill from there! I refused the phone call, explained the problem, and after a bunch of slow back and forth 'chats', I was told that I had a broken icemaker, something I already knew quite well! WORST of all, I checked my VISA billing later that day...the charge they posted was for $40!
Should have been $5, even if there had been a phone call of $24 it would have been $29!
This is a fraudulent, scamming service and should be investigated by law enforcement. Of course I reported it immediately to VISA who are doing an investigation. Obvious to me that JustAnswer pads the bill illegally and hopes that no one notices. They picked on the wrong customer; always report fraud in posts to help other consumers.

How incredibly pathetic these people are... I got help when I was worried that my dog's life was in danger. They make you agree to their terms before getting help, and then never follow up or remind you that you just agreed to let them save your credit card information and continue to charge you on a monthly basis. I cancelled my membership 12 hours after I saw the second charge on my card and they refused to give me a refund. So they charged me for a month of a service that I only had for 12 hours. They are taking advantage of people in vulnerable situations. It's unethical and pathetic.

I used this service once and it was not made clear to me that I would be automatically enrolled in a membership. When I was charged a fee the following month I automatically requested a refund, explaining that I did not intentionally sign up for a membership and I was told the fee was not refundable.
After reading all of these reviews from people who had the same experience, I feel I got robbed. This is an unethical way to run a business. If your business model is good enough it would sell itself and you wouldn't have to mislead people to take their money.

Do yourself a favor and read the 'critical' reviews...and then run! Plenty of others have expressed their frustration with the manner in which JustAnswer quietly scams you into a monthly subscription, even if all you wanted was a single answer to one question. JustAnswer sucks!

I went to their site seeking to get an answer to a legal question. The site says it is free yet after filling out their questionnaire the site demanded $5 and my credit card info. No way on God's green Earth am I giving them my banking info. So they sold what info they had and now my emailbox is being inundated with lawyers who are all unwilling to give out free info.

Do NOT use this service. They are sneaky with their charges. They told me it would cost $5 for the first 7 days and $35 after that, yes they charged be $5 AND $35 the very first day. Additionally, when I spoke to the vet, she was very unhelpful. She just told me to get my dog to an in-person vet immediately and used a lot of fear in her explanation. She over exaggerated everything. Terrible for someone who gets anxious about things.

The chatbot promised to charge me a fully refundable $5 fee and did NOT specify otherwise anywhere. I only noticed as I had signed into PayPal that they were charging me $44 instead, so I stopped. It was not possible to answer the chatbot at that point so I closed the site.
It's interesting reading these how completely random both the initial and monthly fees are. That in itself is indicative of untrustworthiness.

Someone made fraudulent charges to my banking account for services with this company. I called to try and find out who the lady wouldn't tell me. She did tell me that I agreed to their terms and conditions for said membership however she couldn't locate any of my information phone number or email. I asked to speak with someone who could help also how to file a claim for fraudulent charges. She wouldn't give me information instead she told me that I had taken up enough of her time and she had other customers to help. There's no way I would do business with this company or recommend them to anyone.

I agreed to the monthly fee. The response I recieved was minimal but enough for me to know I needed additional legal help locally. Bit pricey to find that out but I did agree.
However they bill you monthly. I cancelled this the day I recieved my answer.
They kept billing me. Customer service was less than helpful. You really have to dig to get a phone number. I got one once I asked in their chat box.
Customer service claimed there was nothing they could do so I ended up play three times what I should have.
Just be very careful about engaging with them. It could cost you and there are better legal options available.

Answer: I got scammed last year for just over $50k on what I thought was a legit investment site. Everything looked real — I even withdrew a small amount at first — then one day my account was “under review” and the site vanished. I reported it to the FTC and pretty much gave up hope. Months later, someone who saw my complaint told me to email cyberfundsrecovery12@ gmail. Com. I was super skeptical (once bitten, twice shy), but they actually knew exactly how these scams work. It took about 3 months of paperwork, verifications, and bank back-and-forth, but I got a big chunk of my money back. Not all of it, but way more than I thought I’d ever see again. If you’ve been scammed, don’t give up — there are people who can help, but be careful who you trust.
