I didn't do anything different. He basically waited while I started the washing machine again, then it worked. I really don't know why the water didn't go in the first time.

It took about 3 months of paperwork, verifications, and bank back-and-forth, but I got a big chunk of my money back. Not all of it, but way more than I thought I’d ever see again. If you’ve been scammed, don’t give up — there are people who can help, but be careful who you trust.
