My new cello strings are vibrant and responsive. The strings were packed well and delivered quickly. One time I purchased the same string set from a lesser known online store. I saved about $20, but the strings were brittle and dull. I won't make that mistake again. Johnson Strings has always sent great quality strings.

Comfortable and cheap chinrest from Johnson String is making me very happy. It was easily put on my instrument, and ever since then I've been very pleased with my new angle--I switched from a center mount to a left over-the-tailpiece mount, and I must say it's a better fit for me.

It is nice to know you can get a replacement cover for the Manhasset Voyager. The carrying bag takes a lot of abuse in normal wear and may wear out in normal use. So a good source for a replacement bag is welcome. My actual stand is now about 15 years old and good as new. Recommend anyone buying the Voyager also buy the extensions... a real saver when playing chamber music with no good place for a page turn. The original carrying bag was too small, a very tight fit... the current replacement bags (as I just bought) are far easier to use.

I've been buying JSI String Sets in Amazon, until a week ago I found out JSI website and noticed prices are the same. So I made my 1st order, and it was a smooth transaction with no issue through the website. Ran into an issue with one item received, and JSI promptly shipped out replacement.
The cello flight covers are rather expensive so getting a 20% off at Xmas was a big deal! Product arrived promptly, is as advertised, very happy with the purchase experience.

The instrument was really good. My only problem with it is that it isnt set up properly for the climate I am in.
They were supposed to ship the bow that afternoon since I'd ordered in the morning before the deadline. The salesperson said I'd receive it the next day, based on distance. They shipped 2 days later! Because it was the weekend, I ordered on Wednesday and received it on the following Monday.

I usually order my violin strings from Sharmusic, but I received an email from Johnson Strings advertising a 25% Cyber Monday discount. When I tried to apply the discount, I got a message that it was invalid because the strings were already on sale. It's true that the prices are discounted, just like Shar's. They are the same price to the penny in both catalogs. But when Shar has a sale, it is off their standard, always discounted price. Assuming Johnson Strings, likewise, always sells their strings at this discounted price, they cannot legally claim that they are "on sale". From now on, I'll stick with Shar, which adheres to ethical business practices.
