First, be aware that this is not a one-time payment, it is a "subscription". Service If you don't call to cancel and obtain a canceled confirmation you will continue to be charged $19.02/month
But most importantly all you will ever get is information as to where a particular vehicle was manufactured, the VIN number and other information about the vehicle itself. If that's all you want, then that's what you're going to get. However...
I used the service because I wanted to find information associated with a hit and run vehicle, which I was lucky to take a picture of the vehicle and the license plate number. So I wanted to identify the owner and any other relevant information to find the offender.
I found this Infotracer site, then filled out the information requested and paid for the service. When no useful information was available (after I paid), I called to question the service they so prominently advertised.
I was told that the information I was looking for was not available for that vehicle's owner "probably" because it was due the fact that the vehicle had just being purchased (well, it was a 2013 vehicle).
I then ran my own license plate number for a vehicle I purchased brand new, straight from the dealer in 2009. I am, and have been the sole proprietor of this vehicle for 11 years... and the answer was... yes, you guessed it: No information available other than all the irrelevant bla bla bla about where the vehicle had been manufactured, how many doors etc. etc... Nothing about the owner (me...).
So, I called and immediately asked to cancel the service. No refund was offered.
The reason these people (or this person?) has been in business for "an advertised" 10 years is apparently due to the fact that it only charges you $3.99... and he/she/they? Can count on the fact that most suckers will not bother to do anything about it.
The amount is small, but knowing that you have been taken for a ride by another internet trap is even worse.
Now, I have to keep monitoring my credit card, or simply cancel and close the account because I can't trust that they will not go one step further than $3.99.
I will take my time to publish this on other sites too. This is false advertising.

It got the info I was looking for. It was fast which us cool. However inorder to see all the information I wanted, they wanted more money. They did give enough info for what i needed but i wonder what else people could learn about me for an additional fee.
