Posting with Indeed was easy and fast. I like that as I wear many hats within our small family-run business.
What frustrates me is the lack of integrity the candidates have when sending their information. Sometimes I wonder why they even both, especially when a job posting requests: "Send us your resume and tell us why you would be a good fit for our company"... and all you get is someone who isn't qualified and/or doesn't send anything other than a resume.
This tells me they aren't confident nor do they meet the qualifications.
Too bad Indeed can't weed these applicants and ultimates reject them via software... perhaps one day.
Our positions are specific - perhaps that is why we aren't getting many to apply despite the fact that our tour guides make more $$$ than most entry-level positions in banks, AD/PR agencies and many other businesses here in Hawaii.
It's a versatile job that takes one outdoors and meets different people from the world over and make lifelong friends too (so many of our guests are repeat at least 40% and request our guides for their next experience).
Oh Well - I know this isn't something Indeed can fix.
Overall it is a good experience.
I'm sorry to say is I did not receive many or if any people with three years of parts counter experience that I stated for the job that is posted.
We posted a job offer and within 48 hours we had all the resume we needed to make a hire!
I am surprised that we didn't get more qualified candidates. I also think that you should be able to post a job for 10,15 or 30 days, and get a notification from Indeed that your post is about to expire. Then you can make a decision to continue the job posting or not. This would help to not go over your budget.
Easy to set up. Very quick to get good candidates and although I didn't use all the tools available, the experience was a good one. I would recommend this platform.
I was extremely pleased at the number of applicants I received in such a short period of time.
First time user, one of my associates suggested it. Very please with the caliber of applicants so far.
On the site over a month. We haven't found the right person to hire.
The one down side that I have found is that people don't read. I have a very specific job listed and need certain experience with it. 90% of the people that have posted don't have experience in the field.
Easy to use experience. Successful in hiring a candidate who suited our business needs.
Mixed review - first time I've used, but not intuitive from an employer side. Have to navigate several clicks to see activity, app doesn't show employer side at all, boosting posts hasn't created a lot of traction, and the "snippets" that are selected to preview on ads aren't selectable. Got one qualified applicant, so not a waste - but not the results I was hoping for. Had equal/better luck at a fraction of the cost with FB post.
We tried both sponsored and free. Did not get an increase in applicants, nor was the skill set better with sponsored ad. Also although we could control costs w/sponsored option we ended up spending more and getting fewer applicants than on Craigslist. Love the free option on Indeed and am appreciative of it.
Hi there, we're sorry you had a poor experience with sponsoring on Indeed. If there is anything we can do to help, please reach out to us at [email protected].
So far my experience has been satisfactory. However, I am getting a lot of applicants who are not qualified for the position I have posted.
Great site when you are in and operating on it. Terrible access, and now I cant even navigate where I left off. Needs additional design work to allow employer to post his own questions. The site makes it too easy for any Yahoo, to post anything rather than a critical evaluation of resume.
Hi there, sorry for the poor experience with navigating the site. If there is anything we can do to help, please reach out to us at [email protected].
I found the website very user friendly, we received many qualified applicants and would definitely use your site again.
We used indeed for our most recent opening and we are very happy with the amount of responses and the quality of the candidates that applied. Try it today!
Getting our current open listings posted on the site was very easy. User friendly site & pulls in candidates that might be of interest.
Only slight "con" would be not hearing back from candidates. Several submitted their resumes - we responded and requested them to fill out an application - but we never heard from them again. Most likely to do with the candidates not the site.
Thank you for your feedback! Let us know if there's anything we can do to help.
I had thought that the engine would restrict applications to just the New York area - this is perhaps my fault.
I struggled initially to get on the system - it took 4 or 5 days to approve my post - although I understand why.
I hope that my advertisement is running actively.
Hi Arik, thanks for the feedback! If you have any questions regarding your Indeed account, or if we can help with improving your results, please contact us at [email protected]. Thank you.
Hi, I'm not sure why but I have only rec'd 5 applicants ( 2 not qualified) in a little over a months time. I did sponser the ad also. Very disappointed with the return. I started at $15 but just dropped it to $10.00 as I was advised to start with. I find it hard to believe in this area I can only get 5 applicants. Maybe you can tell me what I'm doing wrong with your site.
Thank you,
Jaime
Hi Jaime, we'd be happy to look into this and provide suggestions for receiving qualified applicants. Please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]. Thank you.
Answer: Hello Anita, positions posted for free stay on Indeed for a total of 120 days. Sponsored positions can stay on the site until an employer has filled the job and closed it on Indeed.

Answer: Hello Gerard, sorry for the negative experience. Indeed recently augmented existing search quality programs with new, ongoing strategies to make sure all jobs on Indeed meet standards for quality. This effort included a large scale review of job listings. Jobs that violated our guidelines and companies that did not meet our quality standards were disabled. We apologize that this was a frustrating process for you and will provide this feedback to our Search Quality team for future improvements.
Answer: By NO MEANS should you pursue this so-called job offer further and in fact, you should report them to the Better Business Bureau.
