I have been working in the hospitality sector for more than 20 years and I have used "Indeed" at my last 6 managed businesses. Then 6 weeks ago I started up my own company/pub and of course I was committed to use indeed for employment of a full new team both BOH & FOH.
So I started posting job adverts as I always have, then today after posting a job, I received an email stating my account had been "DISABLED" with no warning or explanation. After years of using and promoting this website a simple email explaining what's gone wrong and to give me a chance to rectify the problem would of been nice... such a shame because it's perfect for recruiting good team members.

I run a financial firm and am actively looking for currently licensed reps. I am very specific on what I am looking for as well as the job description and qualifications. But Indeed out of no where blocked my account. I tried creating a new account but before the listing even went live Indeed blocked me again. No explanation on what is needed to be in compliance, no support, and certainly no help.

I created account last week, i only can see the candidate resume for 1 day.
Now i tried many times to check for candidates that applied for a job still cannot access.
Appear account is disable. Billing also error.
Well if you want us to pay please be more transparent! It is not about money but wasting our time for creating a job post!

Disabling Our account
April 19, 2021

As a small business owner, i recently post positions on indeed, and today they blocked me. "Your account has been disabled".
We have posted few jobs and recieved many CVs and you have deleted our account which is not fair. Don't have any customer care contact number

We created an employer account and advertise our job opening next thing you know after a month in a half and charging us over $1k they disable our account. We have legitimate jobs and al those people who apply none will get a response from us because we have no access to their contact information. Indeed itself is a scam. When these job seekers get no response from the company they applied to these job seekers lose work opportunity after sitting on their computer applying. Indeed needs to fix this they are a scam

Account has been disabled with no reason. Terrible that people applied for a job I have available and will now not hear back. No investigation and no reason was given but automated emails back saying within 2 seconds of an appeal. How horrible for people to spend time applying for a job and you disable an account for an employer with no reason or a chance to resolve issues.
We are a small business who have already hired one person from indeed in the last few weeks so are very disappointed that we are now going to leave many potential candidates in confusion. Terrible service and lack of response is appalling

I would give zero stars but can't. I spent all day properly filling out my first job post. It went live for 2 hours and then got the "your ability to post job has been disabled" message.

We are quite dissatisfied with Indeed as an employer platform. I actually found MY current job on Indeed... and now, as the business has grown, we look to expand. When I placed the 1st job ad (a free one just to get us started) they find my "account" to be unsuitable? And disabled it. They sent a form email saying it was a final decision, no details, reasons or explanation. How can they expect to run their business that way? If we made a mistake, we are happy to understand and fix it. But we are a small business, just trying to expand and grow. I had great expectations that Indeed could help us - I guess I was wrong.

Why Did Indeed disables my employer account?
Without any intimation how come Indeed can disable my employer account.
I'm already struggling with my business to hire employee's
Its really not the appropriate way to do.

I had an Indeed account using for a long time and hiring people but all of sudden when I turned in my Jobs, Unsponsored, they disabled my account in one hour, and the quality assurance team has no phone number or direct email to deal with or explain to the customers for reason. I contacted customer care and They also said, sorry sir we can't connect the quality team but you can appeal, appeal rejection is the Indeed quality team's main priority. Indeed quality seems like works inside the bunker where they don't have any communication method but just assigned to disable the accounts and don't reply if someone needs any help. I have posted an Independent contractor position where we carefully followed all the guidelines but finally, I have a bad experience. Hired professionals are still working with us on the same job profiles for the last six months but Indeed decided my job suspicious. No review method, no understanding, dictatorship business policies, and completely arrogant and rude method to deal with. Someday Indeed management may regret when other company will override because of such onesided bad policies.

We post a job recruiting junior secretary, and we made payments firstly, and we get tens of candidates applying the jobs and all works good.

Today we stop paying, and after one hour later, indeed told me "Your account has been disabled".

We appeal and explain the jobs we are posting, then get the email with title "Rejection appeal from employer ".

"After further review, the decision has been made that your job postings cannot be shown on Indeed. For your reference, please see Indeed's terms of service(https://www.indeed.co.uk/legal?hl=en&redirect=true#tos) and our Job Posting Best Practices.

No further action is required on your part. No additional details regarding this decision have been provided. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."

We read carefully about their tos and guide, the only things they refer in their guide(https://indeed.force.com/employerSupport1/s/article/*******186?language=en_US) is " Frequent reposting of roles or posting roles in locations other than where the job is offered are examples of behavior that's discouraged and may impact content visibility on the site."

We are based on Hong Kong, and we are expanding our business in UK, so we can't look for candidates in UK?

We just look for 2-3 junior secretaries, and you disable our account cuz we stop paying?

We emailed them about the fund we have paid, nothing replied, no candidates, no account, except money, scam?

I am initiating a small business and for the past month I started to hiring people, as suddenly my account is disabled for no reason given nor reason. I thought it is due to subscription and paid for new subscription but I found out the account still disabled and I still receiving messages from applicant. I don't know if it was deactivated or blocked, but I can't find all my job advertisements including all the candidates that I was suppose to review/filter.
Please give me a valid reason why my account is having this issue, no matter what I click I always go back to the same page.

I am the owner of my new small recruitment firm. Just posted 2 jobs and my account and account got disabled. I Appeal to the indeed to activate my account, in reply indeed ask the documents for verification purpose. The document were sent but still got a revert as Your account currently is not accruing costs, and this is a final decision. No further action is required on your part. No additional details regarding this decision will be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I am ready to pay if they activate my account.
I never no if we post free job ads more than 1, then account will be disabled.

Originally, I left a 1 star review about my disdain for this service due to the fact my account was disabled and there seemed to be no reprieve after endless appeals.

After leaving my review, an account representative was able to kindly activate my account with no problem! I'm very appreciative for this, as I was half way through a report for the Better Business Bureau. They've turned things around for me, and I'm looking forward to finding promising workers on indeed.

New Hire Candidate Quality: 4/5
Ease Of Use (Of The Platform): 5/5
Ease Of Account Setup: 3/5

To Use Or Not To Use?
DEFINITELY use the service! If you're able to get through the initial review process then this is an excellent service with all the tools you need to hire great people stress-free! Looking through applicants is a breeze, and the app makes hiring candidates so convenient, you'll wonder why you weren't using Indeed YEARS ago!

If you're NOT able to get through the review process, then the entire ordeal will give you a mind-bending headache and leave you with an eternal resentment towards Indeed. Possibly enough for you to go out on a limb and warn every good business you know to "Stay Away" if they know what's good for them.

My final advice?
If you run into serious issues with indeed, try to reach a human on indeed's customer service. If that doesn't work, tell your legitimate story in a review and hope a human CSR comes to your rescue- like they did with me!
