I bought the battery from iFixit and the shipping was good but the quality of the battery is awful and it's not holding the charge more than 3hours, I didn't use it that much just sending some text and I also followed the instructions that was on its box but still is so bad quality and wasting money to buy battery from iFixit website.
I'm a relatively technical user, I've replaced screen protectors lots of times. Phone is a Motorola Razr 2024+, roughly 2 years old. Replacing a separated/cracked screen protector (inside).
Pros:
- Phone holder, roller, microfiber cloth, and squeegee all worked great
- Delivery time was reasonable
- Packaging was good
- Initially installed quickly & easily with the adapter/tools
Cons:
- Protector developed new bubbles at the fold after 2 days
- Instructions were lacking
- Hard to differentiate the plastic backing from the actual screen protector
- Expensive compared to competition, especially for only lasting 2 days of light use
Recommendation:
- Company should make the screen protector more flexible/rubberized to handle the hinge without flexing open
- Use a hair drier/heat gun while applying to make the protector more malleable & getting a solid adhesion to the screen
- based on other reviews, it looks like quality tanked about a year ago - company should go back to what they were doing prior to then.
The first time I ordered one of these and put it in, I noticed part of the way through the ribbon cable was torn. I finished putting it together and the display wouldn't work, but I figured since I didn't see it until then it must have been my fault so I ordered another one. Come to find out, before I even started putting the display in, I noticed the cable was torn in almost the exact same way. The display works as of right now, but I haven't installed it yet, so for all I know rolling the cable to put it through the hinge (something you HAVE to do for this repair) will cause the tear to spread and break this display. For $40 plus shipping from a company that's supposed to be very reputable for repair parts, I am extremely disappointed.
Photos included are the first display I ordered installed and not working, and the tear on the newest displays cable.
Nothing better than a $9 generic battery on Amazon. Doesn't hold the charge anything near the original battery and from the very first charge up today, on every charge I am getting less and less screen-time.
The delivery time was good though, still not better than Amazon.
Cost prohibitive to even bother returning it since I don't need the battery anymore (phone is broken entirely before I had chance to replace battery). Waste of money
Entered wrong address, notified them immediately. They shipped anyway. Told me to track down the recipient myself. No refund, no replacement, just "order again." Out my money and my product. Won't use iFixit again.
Customer service, meh! Useless, awful, extremely slow shipping! Do yourself a big favor, go elsewhere, less headaches.
Battery seems to be a good replacement for original. The problem is with the adhesive gaskets. The adhesive will not hold the screen to the body of the watch. I was sent a replacement kit and the results were the same. Mating surfaces were thoroughly cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. Adhesive will not hold, do, not buy!
Shipped fast, quality product and packaging with eco-conscious packaging. Told are great quality. Hady screen replaced and calibrate fingerprint within 1 hour.
Laptop needed a new battery. I located the battery and the site offered a "toolkit" to ensure I had everything I needed to be successful. Everything arrived a few days later, and, indeed, I had everything I needed to replace battery. By. My. Self. Empowering!
Thanks!
Service was great, only gripe i had was shipping because the saver price they gave me was the same as their standard but twice the time.
The item is good, the tool kit is also good, however the instructions are poor. It nowhere provides instructions to remove the frame from the old phone. While removing old screen I removed the top screen and was not aware that the frame also needs to be removed. After sticking the glue (provided with the kit), I had observed that the old frame also needs to be removed. Now I need to wait to get the new glue.
Very frustrating.
The worst customer service no live operators only email with no respond at all, I am missing order and cant even cancel it or get refund
Ordered a touchscreen replacement last November, not quite fast shipping but everything went well and smoothly based on the instructions I faced with thick vertical green line in the display after replacing while the broken screen still worked better! No doubt that is a faulty part! This pattern repeated again and now I lost a noticeable amount of money and time with a broken brand new Pixel 7 Pro that even can't recognize the fingerprint! (have performed their instructions several times and didn't work)
I ordered the pro tech toolkit for 90$ and it had all the tools that I needed. The suction cup that came with the pack was not working, so I contacted support and they sent me a replacement within 2 days.
The quality of everything is so cheaply made and easily break. I throw away so much when I should have just purchased somewhere else.
I bought a replacement screen for my Samsung laptop. The screen is an original Samsung part. Installation instructions were clear and concise. The toper on this was that ifixit sent a return label to recycle the old screen. That is amazing. Not every company will do that.
This is one of the rare online businesses I've purchased from that feels like an illegitimate, scam of a company.
I received a computer battery that was completely bent up and had obviously been used and damaged. The shipping box and packaging box were in perfect condition-- it was not damaged in shipping. There was no phone number to contact someone right away so I had to email. It took them 3 days to respond. I sent them photos of the damaged battery. They replied that I needed to send them a long list of detailed photos of everything from the packaging, product box, product accessories, etc. So-- more work for me when I've already clearly sent them the evidence of the damage and had to take my computer to a local repair shop to have it fixed because I needed it to work asap. Then, the real kicker was that they told me I was not eligible for a refund. WHAT? They claimed that they would have to send me a replacement and no refund. What a scam! So they send you damaged and unusable goods, don't have a customer service phone number, take 3 days to respond to emails, so you're forced to find a battery elsewhere and then tell you they won't refund you.
Do NOT purchase from this scam of a company.
When my son broke his joystick clean off his switch lite I thought it was toast, remembered seeing some videos from the company online so I looked into it, $20 for a new joystick and the tools for the repair, I could not believe it. Part was shipped within 2 days across the US, and the easily accessible and easy to follow guide on the site made for a simple repair. The tools were fantastic as well.
Before warned...Returned item and would not grant return. I even paid out of pocket for the shipping of said item as requested. First and last time being a customer of ifix online 1300 Monterey St. San Luis, Obispo CA.
Answer: Their instructions cover each step in clear detail. All include photos and nearly all have video as well. Highly recommended!
Answer: Telephone number is (866) 613-4948.
Answer: I'm located the United States in Illinois and I ordered the products from the iFixit website iFixit.com
