My tax and financial documents were destroyed in a fire that led to me not filing my taxes. After, a year of running into obstacles, I was finally informed by an IRS agent about this site to obtain a transcript of your wages and other financial statements like 1099etc. It was all there and I didn't have to wait for the mail. I was able to print a copy right away. It may take a few extra minutes to verify your identity, but it was worth it for security. Once you're cleared, it's very simple to navigate the site. I wish I had known about this site a long time ago.
