Everything went as directed except I forgot to remove my glasses, so my selfie was not authenticated so remember, even if you can't see well without your glasses, remove them for you selfie.
I was unable to complete the task of verifying my identity with the first option of uploading photos of my ID, but with the video chat option, I encountered an extremely kind and helpful agent who made the experience pleasant. I recommend just going with the video chat option and skipping the first option.
