We received a letter from the IRS, which caused stress. When we went to the site they clearly explained what was needed any why and we were quickly able to feel comfortable and to finish the easy process.
As the title says it was a long slow drawn out process that doesn't give you enough time. Took me about 2 weeks or more and still had to do a video chat to finish it up. They never did tell me if I have completed the process so I don't know where i am in the middle of this confusion.

The agent was very helpful, friendly, and professional. Everything seemed to be going smoothly. I quickly received the email that would take me to the IRS to make an appointment for a payment plan. But instead, I got a message saying "we are unable to complete the transaction you requested. Call the IRS." So as I'm on hold for the IRS, there's a message saying if I go through one of their agents on the phone, it will cost $200, as opposed to the $30 for using the website. So I try logging out and logging back in to no avail. I try reusing the email link to no avail. There's no obvious way to get help for this glitch on their website. So I'm more than a little frustrated.
Signing up was a such a breeze. Prompts felt quick, orderly, but still kinda "oddly" fun (love the bigger buttons on things to press). Keeps it slightly whimsical in a world full of cold, fluorescently white offices. I wish getting my passport or annual car renewals were this easy. ID.me seemingly sets the bar for an online future. Well done.

Other than having to upload your documents and waiting for them to be verified.That could be faster.Once on with the agent the process was easier.
