I was very surprised how easily I navigated the system. I was told it can be tricky so I took my time and was pleased at how quick and easy it is.
Giving even more info for someone to lose isn't a good idea. This is just getting more and more info to have hacked by someone.
I didn't have a great explanation of what this was for as I was using this to enter a government website. It appears to be legitimate but I will see if I get unwanted correspondence from this. It did ask me to connect other websites of the government with the ID.me use. I did this but was unclear of how those other website would benefit me.
The website did give me the information I was seeking after I was forced to use it. So I would assume this is legitimate.
The self-service system was ridiculously convoluted for no apparent reason. Then it glitched so that I kept getting an email to confirm my email address when I needed to confirm my phone number (which was where I had been getting all the links so far, so kinda late for that, yeah?), and there was NO WAY to get technical assistance or even REPORT the issue. I work all the time, so it took forever to have an opportunity to do the video confirmation instead. Which was a totally different experience. Agent was awesome. In and done. But I still give no stars because this is a system that is mandatory for use by everyone in the United States and it is a joke as far as functionality and support.
The on-site facilitator Mr. Jones in your college Park location was very helpful and thoughtful and patient I really enjoyed the experience and the way that he protected my information.
It was a unique and easy experience to use ID to verify who I am. The steps were very easy to follow.

IT was complicated, took too much time & not necessary to make a simple payroll tax deposit. I don't even know if I was actually connected to IRS or a hacker. I had no idea that I was going to have to jump thru hoops when I tried to make the deposit this week!
Some overzealous IT tech decided to make life hard for the rest of us. It is so stupid to spend 20 minutes trying to log into a website. Streamline the process! Get rid of the ID me thing altogether and just give me a password like my bank does.
