They have no customer service. I don't mean they have bad customer service I mean they don't hane ANY customer service. You have a problem - it's your problem and you can't solve it. Fewer customers that way though.

An extremely complicated, confusing process to access my IRS account. Took over 4 hours, granted some mistakes were mine, just to verify that the IRS did, in fact, send out an outdated and unnecessary notice. This smacks of a bureaucracy creating more confounding and unnecessary procedures based, primarily, on having too many confounding procedures in the first place. As far as I can tell, the IRS has made ID.me a mandatory step before I can look at my IRS account.
But just read everything carefully and you'll be fine!
They ask you for your social security number just to give a military discount... We are no open bank account, we are not applying for passports. Lowes went to far... ridiculous...why you need customers social security?...
