Great! My agent was able to get going and ID me is helping me file for taxes.
Once i got my account created and could log in it was simple. I just followed the emailed link to do my photos and video.
Signing up for ID.me was a fairly simple process. It allowed me to log on to the site I needed to access after just a few minutes. I feel my information is secure with this service because of their combined documentation and biometrics process.
In spite of the fact that I have a pre-existing account with ID.me, I was still forced to upload a photo of my license and compare it to my face all over again. Even though I was verified from having ALREADY CREATED THE ACCOUNT. Seems like a major personal violation to me. Anyways after it failed to read my license it happened to take my passport the first time so I'm sure that wasn't happening intentionally to collect more of my data. Anyways it still needed to verify via codes from text messages at two separate points in time. Which by the way, my phone like most phones, is locked by facial recognition. So if I were doing this against my will, if my captor was able to get through the facial recognition on ID.me, I am sure he could do the same on my phone and enter in the code without issue. Not to mention it could appear for others to see on a smart watch- if anything it makes the entire measure less secure while still making it less efficient in the process. This company shouldn't even have the right to exist in government but for the love of god it has to exist at a level that shows more competency than that.
The estimate time for the video call was not accurate or anything sat there for an hour when it said 32 min estimated time
Okay the situation could have been better because I think the photo site should have been designed to auto filter out any light reflecting off the cards that are being used. I suggest you try an AI software to rectify the issue with an improved outcome and eliminate any future delay time with a Veteran attempting to log in.
Overall it's a secured, fast, easy, and satisfying experience. I recommend ID.me to all.

I really like how much more simple and easy it was to verify vs how it use to be because everybody don't have credit cards or the knowledge to verify. But now it's much better and easier
I was soo hesitant to do this for a lot of reasons, but I was soo surprised that the process was unpainful.
I expected no ads for this service. It didn't work reliably so it took a few tries before it was successful. At one point it appeared that it was insecure due to a chrome message about it not using https. I felt it might have been hijacked or directed to a scam site at some point. It was complicated and at multiple points I had to redo because it said to. I had to restart it at least twice. I'm general it was unpleasant, complicated, unreliable and left me feeling it was insecure and commercialized selling ads so I'd say it was bad.
It was good because I trust her and we were done in just a few minutes
It's nice to have the option to pay online. The registration process was a bit difficult.
