I initially gave them everything they needed online, and that wasn't good enough. They needed a video call, and said they would let me know when they were ready for me, they would send me an email. 3 days later I received the email, logged in to their site where they told me I had a 30 minute wait for an agent that actually went 40 minutes. After that 40 minutes they transferred me to a page where I waited another 40 minutes before an agent had a conversation with me that lasted 4 minutes. It's done, and somehow you are convinced that you need this, but they suck.
I experienced the normal figuring out what to do. But overall, it was really easy.
Up to the point where I had to go back to an "original tab" the process was easy & the directions were clear. Seems like users ought to be able to simply move forward to complete the process after they submit their selfie and all other ID information

The whole ID.me experience was very smooth except I do not have a smartphone. It took me a long time, and a laptop with a webcam, to figure out how to do it. I am exceptionally pleased I am now verified and have access to my account! I wish some provision was made for those of us (probably mainly older people not very tech savvy) who do not have a smartphone. How can we help this to happen?
Sign up for the account and I D me sat here and waited a half hour for the video call had my IDs and everything ready to go. They even said it was good. It worked fine she verified my ID and I can go sign in so I went to sign in Wouldn't accept my password X it said he couldn't find my email after a couple minutes of trying again. It said it found email but the password was wrong so I did reset it and I knew it was right cause I wrote it down and when I tried to use it again, so no you can't use it. You already use it so I turn around and set up a new email or a new password and it turned around and said OK it's changed that everything gets done to change it, but I did it And I turned around but sign in wouldn't take it again. Wouldn't try it again. Your account is now locked too many times are trying to sign in. It's worthless. It does nothing to secure anything but due to them to find out your information you have the right to from Social Security. If you don't like it, ID me fix your damn system.

My whole experience was poor. The name is cute but.me means the domain is registered in Montenegro. The instructions aren't correct. The instructions aren't complete. The whole thing felt like it was designed by engineers
