Process was simple and quick with the smart phone link.
I needed to use IDme to apply for a phone provider discount and it was extremely easy to sign up and the whole process took less than five minutes.
Somewhat difficult but easy a lot of questions and not enough explanation on things it is very hard at the beginning but the more you go through it the easier it gets I would suggest writing the instructions a lot easier and better for people at can't read that well

The pictures took forever to upload. The 1st two attempts I thought my browser froze. Fortunately, I was distracted on the 3rd attempt and it finally went through and I realized it was just a time issue.
Took me around a dozen attempts to get my selfie pic correct. It must be done with a cell phone and a laptop or computer was not offered as an option. The level of stillness required isn't humanly possible unless you prop up the phone and then it is a matter of lighting.
Finally, the detailed level of private and identifying information is way way past my comfort level for any company to store on a web server. No company is un-hackable. I'm not rich nor important, so I have nothing at risk other than the hassle of fixing things if my identity is ever stolen, but others might be risking a lot.
I'd.me is a security measure that purports to make signing in easy but safe. It requires information authenticating the identity of person signing in. Basic info is pretty straightforward. MFA is the tricky one. Online users are expected to be literate with internet jargon like downloading vs uploading, selfie, and the like. The instructions on uploading document is not that clear to me. I happen to luck out on guessing what I'm asked to do. Maybe you will be as lucky.

How about paying me 6 hours of my time dealing with you to get id. That was this time. A year ago i spent hours and gave up. Looking forward to someone hacking the info so i can sue you and get paid cause i expect nothing less than my private info compromised cause your software sys stinks.
. finally thought i had gotten to sign, nope, another code, finally a heading showed that my password changed. Signed in, big joke sent me another code. I gave uo. Do not know about uploading anything. What is MFA. This is not set up for non computer personnel.

Setting up the ID was easy, but I needed everything to be verified snd I thought maybe I had done something wrong. I finally figured out there was another part that I needed to do so my ID could be verified. I'm completely satisfied with my ID.Me account.
It was a bit of a foreign experience with the manner of uploading dicuments, but the process worked well.

I try to identify myself but wasn't able to because of they didn't give me enough time before locking me out and giving an error message.
Little longer than it would be in time to speak to someone on video call.
Overall very easy to use and very secure. Only problem is the video selfie thing. No matter what I did, it wouldn't work. The alternative live authentication process was quick and easy.
It took me about 15mn to gather and download the documents and about 35 mn the agent to verify them and to give me a video call.Be sure to follow the instructions for the documents.Mine were accepted at the first attempt. Very please with the whole process
