NJ DOL uses this service to verify people. Doesn't work all the time. In my case, it says verified when I log into the ID.me half but in my personal backend it keeps saying I need to verify endlessly! Humans could solve my problem on the phone but this service is being used rather than people being in the office and providing the simple solution to a small issue. It's an error that has nothing to do with me. I know a person could press enter or delete, reset and fix my problem but this dumbass site has a deal with DOL to waste our $#*!ing time and leave us without our money. Make people going in a loop to nowhere, that way they can't blame us for not paying out, it's just system errors! Yeah right…. Fuqin bullshyt‼
It was simple once i got focused, the video picture verification was the best part. Other than that it wasn't that difficult at all maybe in the future have a little bit easier ways to get a hold of people when they are in need of help.
Take your time and deal with each step as it comes up. Make sure pictures fill the space provided. Took me about 15 minutes and I had to shoot my pics a couple of times to get correct.
Time will tell if I have learned enough to sign in again. Thank you for the time.

ID.me provides an invaluable method of confirming my military service to external websites and entities. Saves me from having to share my DD214 and/or SSN so much! Easy to use, easy to change (I recently retired so had to update, easy!), easy for external entities/websites to query/confirm my military affiliation, and easy to change my password! 10/10 highly recommend!
I had to set up ID me to interface with government services for personal business and it was difficult to set up with lots of error messages and no help.
When I later had to use ID me for another government service in connection with my work, I had a lot of difficulties to set this up and there is no help phone number. When you go on the government websites, there is a help desk number and you can resolve issues. But at ID me you first have to chat with a robot to then advance to the stage of getting a help desk submission form. Then good luck waiting for the answer.
It's also very intrusive for something you need for work: you have to give your SSN, copy of ID, and make a video. Who will be liable for personal loss if there is a data breach at ID me?
