Called to verify identity. Used the self-help option. Able to start the process and upload my id but after 20 minutes, still unable to get past that point. Had to start over and use the video chat option. Took about 20 more minutes for someone to answer. Was very grateful for that but the rep was very "short" with me.
When I logged on it said 30 minute wait time. Two hours later an agent picked up.

At the beginning the short video for you face after you send your id's then, your social# then they ask you then it take 30 minutes to very your document, after there was a video call to identify if it you, for me it was a beautiful experience.Thank you so much ID.me
Experience was very fast and relatively easy considering the documents you need are fairly obtainable if you're trying to identify yourself. Small issues with the video verification which couldn't recognize my face so I had to speak to a live agent for it, but otherwise it was fairly fast.

Requires two devices (smart phone and computer or iPad) and you'll need your ID. Prepare to take a selfie and a quick photo of front and back of ID, then upload, and you're good to go. Plan for 5-10 mins for set up of account, completion and verification.

The wait time if you don't want to make an appointment is probably going to be about an hour and a half. But whenever you finally do get connected the process is fast and easy, with great agents to assist you with your business.

To gain access to my Social Security Account, which I paid into for 40 years, I had to go through ID.me which demanded a copy of my state drivers license (front and back) and that I provide facial recognition data which I am positive will be used against me in the future. I have never committed a crime in my life and these thugs have gathered the same information they gather on criminals. I want to see the ID,me data on ANY of the criminals illegally entering OUR country. You can bet that the illegal criminals waltzing across the border won't have to do any of this to take the democrat vote buy payoff. Take my word for it, the American people are the enemy of the government we have now. But there is hope. Almighty God, 'El shaddai, IS going to return and each and every narcissistic sociopath in government WILL answer to Him. The vile communist demons may have won the battle but the perverts are going to lose the war.
