The absolute most ridiculous nightmare ever experienced. Brook me over 30 days, over 35 different log ins, and countless hours of literal insanity to finally succeed in what obviously should be simple five minute process.
Having ID.me gate-keep to using the IRS.gov account is absolutely horrible. Calling the IRS is almost, not an option unless you wait hours per day and get lucky. So to have another point of failure to trying to pay taxes absolutely sucks then when there are non-descriptive error codes. Just an error code and they point you to their inadequate support guide. Attempting to open a support ticket is a joke as I never heard back. I had to do dozens of attempt to verify my documents and scour their support guide, only to figure it out on my own. Trying to pay taxes should not be this difficult.
Wait time was double expected time, however, the agent was professional, fast and friendly.

I filled for my 2023 refund.and I received a letter in my mail advising me to come to this site and provide license and face recognition and AGI number.I did that.and it's the last page after providing all that information says " IRS records indicate that a return has been filed using your identity. My experience with IDme seem a better difficult at first but now that I spoke with an agent and got my 6 digit code to access it everything when smooth.
I know now I need to stay in touch with ID me in the future because u never know what this world could find ur information on the dark net and u could lose everything u own.
