I had not used this site in a long time and needed to update my personal information. I emailed and received communication pretty quick. When I called to verify my information I didn't have to wait past 5 minutes for help and it was processed fast. The workers are polite and very respectful. Thank You for decent service!
I really do not appreciate being required to give the motherload of my personal information- the type everyone is always warning people about giving away- to a private company, who now has full color high resolution images of my drivers license, my in laws' green cards, our full social security numbers, and who knows what else. You use state of the art security? I'm sure Equifax and AT&T said the same thing, and both of them dumped all our info onto the dark web. Once you do, I hope something terrible happens to your CEO, but probably he (yes I'm assuming his gender) will leave with a few million dollars of taxpayer money as a bonus and we'll be left having to pay for identity protection from our hard earned money, by which I mean money we earn at REAL jobs and pay taxes on like losers, until we die, all the while hoping that Medicare and Social Security last long enough to stay housed. Good thing they're paying this sketchy private company to "hang on" to all our sensitive info and "protect us" from fraud! Couldn't possibly think of anything better they could be doing with our tax money. What's the character limit here? Regardless, I have to get back to my job so that I can keep paying for professional services to keep track of which of you lousy corporations are making it easier for me to be the victim of identity theft and embezzlement. Have a stressful day.

The entire process took, maybe, 20 minutes and I then had access to my online account from which I had been blocked for no known reason. The gov't agency I was dealing with did NOT help me one bit. Very pleased with entire ID.me experience.
Trying to revalidate your status as a student, once your original graduation date has passed, is a cumbersome process, full of screening and uploads of official documents that I'm definitely not sure they are committed to protecting.
This is not the first case, in fact there are many, cases in which large corporations send you emails saying and swearing that the privacy of their clients is very important to them, but they regret to inform you that a security breach in their servers has exposed your information sensitive to hackers or who have found it on the dark web. My most recent case, with Dell Technologies less than a week ago.
I think the verification could be done by consulting the EDU mail server of your College or University and that's it. Without having to upload official sensitive data, documents, or credentials.
