I have been sending them my id for over a week now, and even an official letter from the IRS with my social security number on it, and they have refused it as governmental id. They string you along for ages thinking you're getting somewhere but then fall at the final hurdle. DON'T USE THEM>

I am starving to death, behind on all of my bills, and still have not had a chance to apply for unemployment because ID.me set me back at least 3 months. You cannot use temporary IDs and it does not even check your social security card. A social security number is actually more important and the obvious logical choice since illegal immigrants can more easily acquire another person's ID through various means than their social security card normally.
From beginning to end the site was intuitive, easy to use and accurate every step of the way! Highly recommend using this site.
