I log in to a couple different federal government agency accounts using id.me and save a lot of time. The IRS uses it and I use it on my SSA account, too.
I would use it on Texas state agencies, but i haven't seen it come up while logging in.

It is so bad. I can't log in my id.me at. Even thoughI tried to use my password several time. And asked me to reset. When I input everything. I still can not reopen my id.me.
I had a very difficult experience using ID.me. The verification process was slow and confusing, and I had to repeat several steps multiple times. The system kept asking for additional documents even after I uploaded everything correctly. It was stressful and took much longer than expected to complete my verification.
This is the most cumbersome, invasive, poorly written "process" I have ever used in my life. Impossible to find and "secret" despite its requirement by the IRS so one can see their IRS account and make tax payments. I wanted to make two (2) sizable tax payments due on November 24 and it took me 2 1/2 hours to wade through this verification BS! Horrible. Pitiful. Pathetic. To think that all U.S. taxpayers are required to go through this BS is unconscionable. I am betting the farm that less than 50% of taxpayers will attempt this and then just mail their checks in due to frustration! And what about Aunt Jean with no smart phone? You can't get through one page without that... WHO is responsible for this? Trump is right, MASSIVE GOVERNMENT firings must be done. Too many people "dead on the vine"...
I hadn't use the site in a few years and was able to access what I needed to establish my identity quickly and quickly with secured verification methods!
I have had nothing put pure heck from this system and login.gov.
Both failed me for my VA health care and denied me help when I needed it most- serious issues, too.
Both failed me for my Son's VA college funds.
Both failed me when I tried to pay my tax bill.
They have harassed me, taken weeks and dozens of emails calls and people
And still never got it fixed and they have hurt me and my family
When everything was working perfectly BEFORE they came and broke things.
Their customer service is terrible and their help online is total crap.
Other than that, it's peachy.
It was easy, quick, and secure. It also nice that it aligned informatically with input measures. I wonder what other services or things they offer. Good to know that they care enough to ask if the process for something mandatory/necessity based was an ease because most military spouse things are not.
The only thing that went right was the id me process, but the reason I had to use it (IRS) needs to get lessons from id me to learn some professionalism. They suck.!
I lost 10 hours of my time to this process and now I don't have time to say much more.

As a data analyst/computer program with 40 years experience in creating; user friendly interfaces to acquire data or request information, I found this applications very labor intensive for the information I wanted to receive. The panels do not conform to what the Industry considers stander input activities and prompts.

Couldn't I'd after three attempts—total waste of time! Rating is higher than I was willing to give it—no stars! But I had to give it one star to post this! That is higher than I would rate it—it deserves no stars!
