It's really convenient after the initial sign up, and it can be used on several sites.
I USE ID.ME TO SIGN IN TO MULTIPLE APPS THAT REQUIRE 2-STEP VERIFICATION. I USE FOR VA, SSA, MICROSOFT, CAMERAS AND OTHER APPS.
Slow tedious user interface to set up. Then the app didn't work. I verified may military time and got acknowledgement that alwas good. Put in 2FA and biometrics. Tried to apply the mil discount and got unhelpful error popup that said an error had occurred and they were aware of it, but no recommended course of action. Tried several times with same results.Don't waste your time.
ID.me has been a great way to identify myself to varies entities. Never any issue. Never any problems. Wish all governmental institutions ran this smooth.
Very good and I really appreciate my privacy of all my information
I needed to replace my social security card and was able to get through the process fairly easily. The only tough part was being able to get a picture of the card without shadows and having to deal with the shiny bits that reflected and dulled the overall picture. Once we got that in successfully the following parts were easy as well. I would suggest having a picture of the front and back of your drivers license completed before you start the process. That way, you won't be timed out for taking too long to edit your pictures and have to start the process over again. Also, the selfie part was pretty cool too.
