This is the third time I have been asked for my experience with I D ME, that is the problem, too much redundancy!
This was my second time to access ID.me. It verified I am human then asked me a few questions before texting me a code. The process was somewhat tedious.
Had to try 3 or 4 times to get it to take thee photos. Final try it moved to the correct page and I think the photos uploaded. First 3 or 4 times it never went to the page to send
I verified my identity when I first made my account. But now that I'm trying to file an unemployment claim, all of a sudden they can't verify my identity. So I call the number they suggested, just for it to tell me to go back to id me to verify my identity. At this point I call every possible phone number that could assist me with this particular issue and everything is automated. I absolutely hate it. There isn't even an option to speak with anybody. It's completely ridiculous how long I've literally been sitting here figuratively running in circles trying to get help, and each automated message just tells me to return to the website.

ID.me fails as a service, and as technology too. Multiple failures to recognize a US passport (as opposed to a foreign one), to match one's driver's license with the right address to the same address in the credit history, etc etc. It feels absolutely wrong that to access one's own IRS records, a person has to deal with this private company. The government should have never outsourced their verification process to ID.med
