If you are photo sensitive you may want to find an alternative way to sign up. I didn't see any warnings about being photos sensitive so either there were none or they were not obviously visible. I had seizure like symptoms and a migraine followed after ID me scanned my face.
There were flashing lights, and because it did not recognize all of my features, I had to keep change, lighting and trying again. After a total of three attempts, it finally went in, but all of the light flashing caused me to have medical issues.

There some challenges with the video verification with drivers license because it took a few tries. But in the end I thought the checking process was robust.

It took 3 or 4 months to complete the verification process. It is not the website's fault, but I did have to set aside the time and resources. ID.me assumes you have a smartphone. I do not. That throws a big wrench into the whole thing. You will need a computer with internet access, a web camera, and all of your documents saved on the computer for upload. The agents are super awesome and will help you in anyway they can.

Set a lot of time aside for the process is time consuming, but that is to be expected to provide identity verification. Make sure you have all document and information to include login information for the various agencies. Be patient with the links and OTPs sent, don't be surprised if they do not work the first time you try them. Just hit resend and eventually they will work.
