I uploaded my driver's license twice, but ID.me continues to report my age incorrectly to Fleet Farm regarding an ammunition purchase, so the purchase fails. The requirement is that I be 21, and I'm actually 60 years old. If the Fleet Farm site did not require ID.me, then I could have purchased the product online, saving a 60 minute round-trip to the store.
I was not overly thrilled to have to sign up for this but it was necessary. It turns out they take security very seriously and I feel confident that my information is secure. I actually had a video conference with the agent at 2:00 in the morning on a Saturday. I can't believe that they have agents available at that hour but it worked for me. I have never used Zoom or any other conferencing software and even with the inexperience it still took just a few moments to get things going. I had to tweak a few settings in the Android operating system that I wasn't familiar with but it gave pretty simple instructions to follow to allow for permissions. Overall I am pleased with the service because it allowed me to access the Social Security Administration website as well as my local DES office. All's well that ends well.

My experience has been smooth with no delays nor glitches. Without ID.me, my last transaction could have taken days—every government entity should implement ID.me for efficiency and accuracy.

I was finally able to finish the set up but verification seemed to be a bit involved. This is possibly due to an abundance of caution, which is wise. Just allow time and be careful with instructions. Once it's done, it's very helpful!

It will frustrate your efforts to accomplish anything you set out to do on their website and leave you feeling extremely uncomfortable about having shared sensitive information with a website that is so poorly built and managed. Stay away from Id.me at all costs and stick with hard copy filings!

Too long of a process. Approximately two step verification would have been enough but the additional video selfie intermission was closer to 15 minutes then 15 seconds
Needed last year's tax documents to finalize my tax return. They helped me access the IRS website to obtain it. All together took 5 minutes to confirm my identity and I was in.
