The days of live interactive customer support are long gone. While directing access through online portals Live chat bots, and limited online chat support, On a recent government search, was having no success accessing the listed drop down needed. Then, a pop up appeared on screen for IDme, Explaining by creating a IDme account, my access to the government and many additional secured sites would be easy as 1-2-3! Always sceptical, I proceeded to setup an account. Took only a few minutes and once they processed the needed security documents for me. I was reviewing my needed forms and all other needed information. I don't do reviews, I apologize for the lengthy rambling/ My review on IDme. Is finally a User friendly, easy setup and 💯% secured platform to connect me to important and personal needed information/ I would recommend this to everyone. No hesitation. Good luck

The service provided by ID.me is highly useful to US citizens who might live abroad or those who do not have many of the documents other sites use for this authentication requirement. The process was easy to follow and there were options for remote video authentication.

They offer to allow to use passport.
Will decline the passport ID Card, Passport photo card, then ask to upload a driver's license and social security card and will maintain all of this indefinitely unless you formerly request they delete your account. Absolutely unacceptable in this day and age of cyber security threats for any business to maintain an entire buffet of information to be used for identity theft.
Then after scanning all the documents because they decline the dozen photos, they tell you you have to wait 3 days to get the final verification of your identity. Then you have a 40 minute wait to have a video call with an agent who they takes a recording of you holding up all your documents that they once again will store indefinitely until you delete your account or a cyber terrorist swipes it from the service.

I met with someone who spoke with me by video who showed the interviewer my driver's license and passport. He told me that I satisfactorily completed the session. I was hoping that I would receive an email sent to my email address of *******@qwestoffice.net explaining how to proceed further so that I could file 1099's electronically. Should I be waiting for an email, or a letter in the U.S. mail? Or should I be taking further action now to access my account and finalize something?
It took me more than 30 minutes to get verified so I left and have them to notify me through email
