I went to the sight to investigate why my refund was smaller though I was fairly sure I already knew. First I was surprised at the services the IRS offers. Second, though I am nearly computer illiterate I was able to complete my ID.me on the second true.
Second point is I am confident about the security. I was involved in secure communications years ago while in the military and am certain security is at a level of encryption fair beyond my comprehension.

I have an existing ID.me account, but every time I go to sign into it, they want more info. Quite frankly I don't feel safe giving it to them. I plan NOT to USE the site in the future unless absolutely necessary for some reason.

Its really cool being forced to hand over multiple forms of ID and Personally Identifying Information to some random site that promises they are secure just like Equifax, Facebook, LinkedIn, CapitalOne, and more... oh wait all of those have been hacked in the largest data breaches in history. Autoverification doesn't work, Sign up is a pain, uploading multiple IDs, Requiring you to allow some random person to hop on a video call so they can see you and where you live, etc. Bad site, Bad systems, I hope the government doesn't try to intertwine themselves even more with this company. Privacy Nightmare.

I was having trouble signing in to a government site and lost my ID information. I had to close my account and open a new one and I used ID me to help. It was well informed informative and very professional. I would highly recommend them in the future.
She helped me get back into my account. Was very nice and patient with me. Gave me great advice and served me well!
They were patience with me even i was having issue with my phone but once i was able to get my issue taken care with my id and ssn

When I use this, the government agency sent me notification that they had not received verification and I lost a benefit temporarily because of this, so it seems a little pointless and a big time consumption without any benefit
