Upon logging into mySSA, I couldn't get a code from my authenticator app & the mySSA login kept refreshing back to the same page asking to open my app to get the code. Hence, I couldn't complete login. Tried taking advice from FAQ... failed, but went through a guided verification process that worked wonderfully. The online aspect of verification of two forms of identification via upload of images & a virtual phone call fared well! Top-notch customer service & company you can trust.

Title says it all, set it up a couple of years ago when SS admin said they were going to require this or yada,yada, yada. I've been getting a LOT of useless, and unwanted, advertisements from them between now and then. This time when I needed to log in to SS to get my payment info, etc for taxes, I had to "update" my info with a whole buncha stuff, picture of ID, Picture of me, etc. colossal pain in the $#*!, BUT ULTIMATELY IT WORKED, and I'm Glad...Unless I have to do it again.
It made me feel safe using the site and I was surprised of the ease of using it.

I jumped through hoops only to still not being able to have access to my social security online. And they have my strivers license info and my biometrics of my face. WTH have I done?

I found the experience of setting up an account to be better than using social security's website, but this a low bar to get over. Be prepared to have your smart phone, a pc, and a lot of patience. I believe that a typical senior citizen will have problems. This my opinion relating to my experience, I find it strange that I am ask to review my experience and then threatened with breaking the law.
