I t was fast and smooth. Quick reminder of a prior account existence. I do not use this account and not sure why I needed to use this for Verison acct for changes to my plan. I have never been asked this before makes me think that this is for authentication for changes to my account.
I used my iPhone and my iPad to send photos of my driver's license. All were very readable to the eye, but the computer could not do it. Finally, I received a video contact and that took care of the problem.

What I can tell is that it was quick and very easy. A few days ago, I had an insurance agent who showed me how to get quick and easy information on my SSA. Prior to that, I had trouble accessing SSA to learn anything about it. And I discovered that it appears to be quite secure, with no hackers able to access my data. I have no issue with ID.me. After all the steps to create the account, SSA says: Nope, not you. I am no further than I was before. I say that because, is it not the point of this to be proof of Identity?
Had to get my daughter to complete this task for me because there is no other resolve for us who doesn't have the ability to use the computer technology. That is very disappointing for most people 60 and older that does not have the skills.
