Huge issue logging on; bottom line, they needed to connect my account with my "user name of the pass" to my "user name of the present". When I had issue logging on I reached out to support and they assisted. My contact was "Aaron".
His assistance much appreciated. I was going through a difficult time and "he was great". Being on the customer service side and helping folks with issues and concerns, his responses to me was "like looking in a mirror". UPDATE: 3 Days later...
Received an email response to my message from 3 days ago to EDD inquiring about the error message I kept receiving after entering my DL number. EDD apparently was having an issue with their online system in verifying information through the CA DMV database. But that the issue has been finally resolved and I could continue with the registration process. So I tried registering again and it finally worked! But I still think the process of getting verified via ID.me was not exactly a seamless experience for me as I had to do it through a video call with a referee since my mobile number was giving ID.me an issue to verify me the 'fast' way using my biometric data and there wasn't an option to use my landline home phone since it cannot receive texts. So I will only deduct 1 star.

Even after carefully following all the instructions in validating my identity via ID.me using two primary documents, and then successfully being verified by ID.me, the info they shared with the EDD government website (my SDI Online account) apparently was not enough when trying to register as a claimant. Kept giving an error message (code: E313) during claimant registration so now I will end up doing everything by mail anyway. And it will take 2-4 weeks just to get the form mailed to me causing a huge delay. There should be an added tip from EDD to make sure to register an account with them way ahead of time before submitting your claim to help offset the these possible delays.
I revisited the id.me website to reverify our affiliations (military retiree with spouse and as a student). Their website is very easy to navigate.
