The ID.me rep was very polite professional and took his time to assist. The direct services and customer service has declined in this country and as a customer service rep myself I know how demanding and hard it is. And this should be the standard for customer care. I just set up access to my IRS account online with ID.me. The website was clear and easy to understand. I had received a suspected spam saying I had a refund. I didn't click on it, but did want to check if possibly I Did have a refund. I don't. I'm glad to learn about the website. I use an accountant, so usually just ask her. But it is good to be able to have direct access.
