ID.me seems to work the best on Chromium-based web browsers, such as Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. The website was noticeably slower on Firefox. The video verification process failed several times, both on Firefox and Edge. I got it to work on my phone using a link ID.me texted to me, but the video verification process failed anyways. Connecting with a live agent took almost an hour, but then there was a problem with one of my documents, and I had to wait until the next week to get another session with a live agent.
Overall, while I can appreciate the difficulty in creating a website that can verify identification securely and quickly, I think there is some room for improvement in the user experience and in wait times.
