At first it was very hard to understand the terms of using ID.me but once you register it seems to be easier. But calling from Germany you get charged even though it is a Toll Free Number. It takes a bit of effort up front, collecting the documents that you will need (and ones that have your full SSN, as pay stubs no longer have full SSN's on them, generally speaking). But I do appreciate the level of security that you get. Once you have the documents in hand, it's a breeze, and the process doesn't take any more than 30 minutes, from beginning to end.
