ID.me is an identity verification service. It is used by many state and federal government agencies to verify a person's identity. Overall, I had a very positive experience using ID.me. I wanted to obtain identity verification to protect my identity with particular government agencies. I tried to upload identification using my camera app on a mobile phone as suggested in the process. While that didn't work because of lighting or probably something related to the camera, I was able to proceed to the next step and still quickly upload my identification documents. This would then schedule a video call with an ID.me agent. I submitted my documents on a Saturday night. I received an email by Monday morning letting me know that my video verification call was ready. I easily logged in with ID.me and everything was quick. The video agent was very professional and very polite. I was very impressed that the ID.me experience was professional, secure, and rapid. Thank you!

They will eventually get you where you need to be. If you don't loose your mind as to how slow the process is and there web sight crawls. The folks are nice though. But at the end you are supposed to get an email to finish the process. Never happened
