This website and app was used for a required verification and was straightforward to address those requirements. The app is slow to a browser opening prompt and does not work from an authentic site link if the OS is not in desktop friendly modes. App interface is not specific to the website you download it from once it is installed. It is sketchy to me that gov't websites use a third party app to launch an account procedure, but the process was simple and courteous.

I had to resubmit my identity papers more than once, as I didn't have a webcam on my desktop monitor, and therefore could not complete the process. NOWHERE DOES IT SAY TO BE SURE TO USE A PHONE, IPAD OR MONITOR WITH A WORKING CAMERA before starting the ID verification process. It took forever to get my ID verified and not before waiting for an agent to talk to me, only to be hung up on because she could not see or hear me. If I were not so persistant, I would never be able to get on the IRS website again! I even filled out the paper vouchers for my estimated taxes and then tried one more time, by googling Code 2099, which always came up when trying to log in. When I alerted you guys to this issue, you said, log in and then delete my account. BUT I WAS NOT ABLE TO LOG IN! It was a catch 22. You also said you did not know what Code 2099 was when I attempted to log in, and said I needed to ask the IRS. Do you know that there are NO PROMPTS ON ANY IRS number about "I CAN'T LOG IN"! I am not surprised that there is such a log jam in getting taxes straightened out. You have so many issues on the ID.me site I can't say them all in this description. The last issue is that you do not offer the person to say what their problem is, rather you only offer a few prompts and if they don't apply to my particular issue, then I'm out of luck in being able to tell you what my problem is! SUCH A MESS.

I had already signed up before under an old profession(medical), since the switch in jobs I wondered what deals were offered under that section I now fall under (government), but I worried it would be complicated to switch and possibly may require making a whole new account which I wasn't thrilled about- but to my surprise I easily logged in my existing account and verified my new profession in minutes!
