I had a bit of difficulty initially because I didn't understand some of the terminology! After several tries, I finally received what I needed.

ID.me requires you to literally hand over all of your most sensitive personally identifying information in order for you to access PUBLIC records. These are records that should be provided under FOIA without question. Instead, you have to hand over you entire identity.

The verifying process was extremely easy. Do not stand-by and wait for an Agent. Choose the appointment option. I waited three hours, while it estimated 20-30 minute wait the entire time. The appointment took 5-10 minutes total from signing in, verifying, and hanging up.

It took me three days to get the help I needed and wanted, but once I got through, it worked out very well.

Terrible wh when you have children, you don't wanna be all day putting an information on the phone or the computer. You have things to do. It shouldn't take that long to complete. This the experience I had was terrible again. I don't mind completing my questions and answering with this, it just was not right I hope from this some changes will be made.

In the end, when I could finally see, hear and communicate face to face with a professional and was capable of proving my own citizenship, I realaxed. And at the same point and time I got it. Yeah, but I said to myself... damn

It's either an ai chatbot or submit a ticket and all you are met with is general emails and statements of where to reference, no real help

I didn't realize that ID. Me could verify that I attended and graduated from The Ohio State University. Pretty cool.
