I started my account years ago and never did anything with it. I decided to give it another try and when I downloaded the app I still had my old account. I was buying things I didn't even need. When I wanted to cash out it was linked to an old number and wouldn't let me. I contacted them and it took almost 2wks for someone to send me an email. I don't know the old number, it was 7yrs ago, but they won't do anything unless I tell them the old number that's in file. So I guess I'm just out the $40 that I have in my account because I can't have it.
You never get what you deserve. Extension? That's a joke. Big promo with walmart? Complicated and leaves you looking like an idiot at the checkout
Please save your time and your energy with Ibotta, because is not worth it! I had a terrible experience with them, I never got my money back on several rebates. The waiting time is up to 48 hours, but usually the money is back in a couple of hours. After waiting 3 days since I uploaded a substantial receipt ( and was still pending) I decided to write to them and ask why is taking so long, and if is smtg wrong... after another 2 days I received an email that said that I used a duplicate receipt, which wasn't true. After my account was locked without any explanation, and took another 2 weeks to get some response from their team care... I feel like there are other rebate apps that are much easier to use -I personally like fetch, since with ibotta you need a lot of time to plan and scan all the deals, make sure they qualify, there are lots of select products and just lots of hassle. Anyway I gave up on ibotta. Bottom line, terrible costumer service( they literally respond in 2+Weeks) and so much work since they don't honor their offers. If you have opportunity to cash out, please do it ASAP because you never know when they just decide to lock or deactivate your account, without any reason

Ibotta used to give me cash back on every purchase that I made. I made 6 purchases about 2 months ago worth almost $800. I never received a single penny back from Ibotta. I stopped using them as it is no longer worth it.
I just started using Ibotta about 5 days ago. As soon as I was able to withdrawal money, I tried to do so. The response from Ibotta was that my account has been locked and that I needed to contact customer support. I've seen that many people have had this issue and had to wait a week or more for a response back. Please unlock my account!
Such a waste of time. You'll end up purchasing crap you may not have otherwise- then try and submit receipt and they reject it. Happened 3x before I said screw this nonsense. It would take years to ever reach $20 payout when they reject half the time. Trust me, spend your time doing things that are less frustrating- like threading a needle while blindfolded
Ibotta is just scamming users. They offer lucrative rebate offers, you purchases, submit, they credit you, and you complete bonuses within deadlines. Then before one can withdraw money it is all reversed, suddenly receipts have no offers, are not readable, not eligible, folded and all sorts of vague reasons. Cheating openly to scam users into purchasing stuff and then taking out money from user's accounts. I say a class action is waiting to happen
After purchasing numerous items with Ibotta rebates. I went to upload my receipt. To discovered Ibotta only takes in-store purchase receipts! With the coronavirus, and being high risk, it is a lot safer to use curbside pick up. I am very disappointed and feel misled. I intentionally bought items that had rebates to save money. All of these items that I purchased with Ibotta rebates are not things I would've otherwise purchased. Since Ibotta well only except in-store receipts they should be upfront about this. Should be one of the first thing you see on the website.
Keep saying my account had been taken care of about getting my money. Ask me do I have another account because whom ever had my number before me had an account under this number that I've had for 1 month.
Not getting proper credit for items that meet all the requirements. Email them and it's been almost 2 weeks with no real reaponse. Now the offers are I'm guessing void which I'm assuming is their plan. I also have been needing to verify so many things with the box or label bar code if the container hasn't been thrown out yet because I don't scan receipts after every grocery trip. To cut down on time I try and scan all at once- one-two times/week. It's such a great idea but I feel the only entity's making money is IBOTTA! Please note I have earned over 100$ in the last year but it's time consuming and I'm not so sure it's worth the time... Oh yeah. I can't seem to withdraw my money either.
I have logged into Ibotta several times to make purchases from Amazon, but Ibotta is not posting credit to my account, but posting a service charge to what I earned from previous purchases. I cannot get any response to my complaints to Ibotta after numerous attempts.
Calls itself a reward company but charges fees if your inactive. Difficult to use total sham of a company horrible customer service. Better alternatives out there!
I used this app for 5 years. Had $170 saved up in my account when I suddenly couldn't access the app any more. After a week of emailing them daily they said my account was pretty disabled. No reason given just a link to terms of service. They actually reserve the right to close your account for no reason! I have emailed them asking why and they won't respond. They stole the money I spent 2 years earning

Don't waste your time. This company is horrible. They do not pay you for any single rebates($30 and up). They do not have a phone number, instead they are contacted via email. Proof is requested over and over. They try to drag it out, until you just give up. They will add it to your account as I pending, but you will not get paid.
I have been using Ibotta for years. It goes along fine for a while, but when I buy more than usual to try to get their bonus, they ghost me. Convenient how it only happens when they owe me $30+. When I open a customer service ticket, they ask for the same info I have already given them over and over, as if they can't pay up bc I'm not doing my part. Scamming single mothers during Covid-19 is a new low!
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. THE CAMERA TAKES THE PICTURE OF YOUR RECEIPT AND IT DOESN'T FINISH SENDING IT. ONE OUT OF 8 RECEIPTS ACTUALLY GETS THE CLICK THROUGH TO SEND IT TO IBOTTA FOR CREDIT.
THE REST TRY TO HAVE YOU CHECK ALL THE SALE ITEMS WHICH NO ONE HAS TIME TO DO, AND WHEN YOU TRY TO EXIT THE PITCH PAGE IT CANCELS YOUR PICTURE AND YOU HAVE TO GO BACK TO APP AND START OVER.
My account has now been permanently deactivated. I've used this app for a long time with no issues. The first time I redeem a receipt worth more than $20 I get accused of counterfeiting receipts. I email them and get a response a few days later and after "manual review" get my account back. I continue to use the app. I try and upload another receipt again, for over $20 in rebates. Wouldn't you know it, my account is deactivated again. This time I email them and get a pre-written response in 15 minutes. After "manual review" my account is now permanently deactivated.
How did one manual review take multiple days but the next take 15 minutes? Why or how would I create fake receipts for an app? I spent $300 dollars, you think I took the time to write up 150 different grocery items from Kroger, then make it the exact same size, font, and tone so I could get $20 back? No, I looked up what I could get bonuses and deals with but you don't want people to actually do that, you just want to sell our shopping data.
So I had been using ibotta since January and cashed out once no issue, then come May of this year when I tried to cash out after using the app again due to needing money during this whole pandemic: and I kept getting an error message about my phone number. Mind you I had used this phone number this last time I cashed out. I contacted support and provided them my first and last name, zip code, email on the account to verify my ID yet they insisted some other number was linked to my account and until I could provide them that number they wouldn't put in the correct number for me to cash out. I offered to send a LITERAL PHOTO OF MY IDENTIFICATION with A hand written note next to it providing the date and that I want my number changed to the current one, and they said They needed the "old" number still, LOL. As if someone would go that far to steal $20 from a random humans ibotta account. So after going through days of trying to find any phone number I could have used I finally figured the number out and here's the kicker: once I emailed them the phone number they no longer replied nearly as fast as when I didn't have it.
After almost a month I finally got my $20.

I've been on ibotta for more than a year and every time I try to withdraw it says error to connection even though my connections just fine.
Answer: Absolutely so true! I earned up just over $100 and when I went to cash out they said I was fraudulent YET I HAVE EVERY RECEIPT and all submissions were valid. It took me months to get to this amount. Hmmmmm Class action anyone?

I sent 5 requests for help in a week and they finally responded by deactivating my account and keeping the 360.00 that took me months to accumulate. They claim I tampered with a date on a receipt and I just crossed off the account number. So they can keep my money that is mine. How can I get my money back?
