Ibotta has very sneaky small print rules... Should you forget to use the app for a short period of time, they secretly deduct $3.99 from your account on an ongoing basis... which is linked to your bank account and without any notice.

My account was permanently deleted by Ibotta. They didn't give any explanation at all. I emailed them more than once to ask why and I just got back the generic answer of they can decide at anytime to delete an account. In my opinion they did so because I was using the app well and getting cash back. That is all I can go on since they will not give me an explanation. I am so disappointed. Don't bother getting this app. They will just kick you off if you actually use it.

The concept was good when I first heard about it. I started using it and it did pay out, but you pretty much have to buy what's on the app. Most of the time the things on the app is not what I need or desire. I usually earn my money back on detergents. Once you buy something, they figure that's what you like or need then you will see it. I don't need it anymore by then because I already got it. You have to fish for savings therefore, I think will just go back to coupons. You can sometimes highlight what you bought from your receipt and it will not register. I lost a lot a money when I thought I was saving. Once I get to the amount to cash out, I will not be using that app anymore.

I followed all of the Ibotta instructions to the letter. I connected Ibotta to my Walmart account, Made sure to clip the offers on Ibotta before clicking to shop online at Walmart, Added the items to my cart and made sure that each item matched the Ibotta offer, Checked out on Walmart, clicked to exit after my purchase and got the Ibotta page that confirmed my purchase, My items arrived in multiple boxes and I only received Ibotta credit for the 1st box of items. Not the second box. Even though the second box contained 5 Ibotta offers which would have qualified me for the turkey, as I needed only one.more.offer. I find it suspicious as I've read this has been happening to other Ibotta users. I definitely will not be wasting my time doing this again. And I'll return the items to Walmart that I did not get Ibotta credit for. Beware of what seems too good to be true.

Ibotta rejected my turkey breast purchase three times then claimed that I didn't enter my receipt within one week of purchase. Completely unethical company!

I really enjoy using this app. I have had zero issues with their customer service. I've never had to escalate any issue had to the point of calling and speaking to an individual. Any and All grievances were addressed immediately and satisfactorily. The rewards are not limited to specific gift cards, you can link your bank account and have cash deposited. There is even a way to pay for your entire order, at some retailers, through the app. Choosing this option can give you a percentage back on the entire order not just individual items.

Don't fall for all their bonus in tricking you to spend money on items for cash back. They will deactivate your account and tell you that you violated their terms of use as soon as you have earned enough money to withdraw and not give you your earned cash back. Please do your research and read their reviews on multiple websites on how they are constantly scamming people of their earnings in cash back.

I'm loving ibotta, cash back for buying stuff, win, win, in my book! Sure are alot of Karen's on here whining because they're to lazy or dumb to navigate the app, so you gotta jump through a few hoops, it's free money, so just delete if you're to lazy or dumb to put in a little work, it's real hard work while you're sitting on your a$$, people are such pu$$ies these days!

Do not sign up for this app they have 0 customer service, no phone number to call, no nothing but an email. I had nearly $40 in savings and they took it all without any explanation. My account has been permanently deleted just off of their say so. WORST APP EVER

I loved this app and had almost $75 saved up in my account when I randomly received an email my account was deactivated and all my friends who I referred received the same email. There was not a single violation of the policy on any of our parts. Reading the other reviews I think they do this before actually paying out people. It's sad saving all receipts and submitting them getting excited to save money for it all to mean nothing.

The app sucks. You only save if you are one of the people who only buy name brand. The automatic linking doesn't work and self reporting has way too many steps. Take to long to get to a payout. Just an overall

I had an offer of buying two GM Cereals which included (list) (you had to but two) Lucky Charms and Toast Crunch, you have to scan the box codes to make sure it's a match and they both matched. Now they say I don't have two but one and they don't want to honor the offer! It's shows on the receipt I bought two!

So i once was in the same group of people complaining about Ibotta... but now im a full convert. Ive been using it maybe a year and have earned 800$ back and my gf is double that. Its like this... there are always items in their list that fall into my shopping categoris... i find the ones that im already going to buy a version of, offer a good reward, and hopefully can be found on clearance in one of rhe stores. Example is this... we buy probiotics, ibotta recently offered $6 and $7 back on diferemt culturelle options. We found walmart was on clearance for $10 and $15 of a normally $30 or $40 item. We bought them out and paid $3 after cash back. Then at homedepot they sold spectracide for 5$ on sale. Ibotta offered $5 back for up to 5. And up to 3 times per account. Thats like a lifetime supply for free and is $75 back. Recently revlon was $10 back for up to 3 bottles. Sale price dropped it to $12 a bottle. My gf bought her makeup supply for $36 got $30 back.those 3 offers cost a total of 141... for 228$ normally in product...and got 126 back. 21 items. $15 bucks. Boom

They denied my rebate. Said it couldn't be found on receipt. Wrong. It is clearly on there. Be careful of the stores you go to and the type of phone you have. Why you just cant scan your receipt like at some stores? At others you have to take a pic of it. And my receipts are LONG and they never can read. Makes it problematic. It needs to change because people are buying things they think they have a rebate on and they are not.

Had $530 in account and they deactivated and will not help you someone else I knew lost$125 they are scanning people

I didn't realize I even had cash on ibotta till I got an email saying they were taking 3.99 for inactivity. It would have been nice to have gotten a warning. I looked in my account and they've taken from me several times. You feel robbed. We work hard to scan receipts for them to just take it back. They should warn you before hand.

I contacted customer support after I did not receive cashback for an offer. First, they accused me of lying and then proceeded to harass me on a daily basis with messages of a mocking condescending nature. After asking them to cease contact and telling the I would be complaining to BBB, they continued to contact me and threatened to delete my account in retaliation and had multiple employees contact me after I blocked on of them. When I identified myself as a neurodivergent individual, the harassing contact increased in frequency causing me to suffer severe distress. I filed a second BBB complaint. These CS staff and horrible people and have targeted and threatened me for being neurodivergent. They are completely unprofessional and ablelist. Had I known that they would do this to me I would never have contacted CS.

Ibotta is one of the worst apps I have ever came across. They not only deleted my account for a complete lie but stole my money. I made them aware of this and they did not care. They decided to lie and say I did not shop for my items. I find that bizarre and weird because it makes no sense at all. I mean how do they know who shopped for what? I did shop for my items and they just lie and steal, and have the rudest customer service ever.

I have been using ibotta since 2017. Very happy until... I always shop samsclub.com online for curbside pick up to receive a % back. UNTIL March 2023. I have not received any credits. I Know I do this the correct way, I spend anyway from 70-200 $. WHY and I NOT receiving that "up to" 8%. What has changed? Can't contact anyone, no phone number, "CHATBOT" disconnected me. Seriously?
