I got taxes done in Philly Frankford Ave spot. The representative acted like he was annoyed that I was there having him do my taxes. I play lottery and when I took them out he got all pissed saying that he doesn't have time for that. Now other tax places charge u for service one fee regardless of how many years u were behind: not in H And R block. He charged me almost $300 for 2021 and I had also 2020 and he charged me separate fee for that year so I ended up paying almost $600. Are you kidding me? This is outrageous. And he took about 10 minutes to do both years so I know he didn't get me everything I could have gotten. Horrible Horrible Horrible experience. Back in 2010 they used to be great and now I don't get how they hire these rude people. Nobody cares about their job anymore.

This company's support is laughable and embarrassing! Paid the extra to have live help online, no access to help. Tried to contact after, no help and no refund. Their own link to "provide feedback" doesn't work because they know their service is trash. Scam business for something you can do for free on your own.
Not to mention I never received my tax refund from last year after using their service.

What a ripoff! I was two weeks late. Even filed an extension. Simple return, no dependents. Got charged 189 dollars. Post pandemic. Shame on them!.

Practically a scam. The rep that filed my taxes didn't know how to do her job. CS are shady, no one wants to answer your questions. Very dogey, will put you on hold for hours on end and transfer all the time. They gave me the INCORRECT link to pay my state taxes, got the correct link from state tax rep. So that was fun. The link that was provided to me by rep to pay off state taxes was asking me for personal information. I am glad now that wasn't going through. Multiple H&R reps, including my tax accountant told me I wouldn't be owed money since I owe money to irs and state but learned that was wrong (I usually get some amount in refunds everytime I file my taxes). Tax rep didn't really explain anything, she just wanted my money. I learned after approving my taxes, she never asked for my direct deposit info (I usually fill that out when filing my taxes for tax refunds). This is where I was told it doesn't matter because I wasn't owed any money anyway. She claimed on my documents that I'd be paying off my state taxes via check and fed via cash. Trying to find a way to pay off my taxes was a nightmare. For whatever reason, no one wanted to even provide me with accurate resources (or any at all) in order to pay off my taxes. I had to dig around the website myself. I reported the tax rep but doubt that does anything because the entire CS team don't want to give you information to help you. Take your money elsewhere. What a nightmare.

I recently became a widow. I went to H&R to file my tax returns for my deceased husband. Because I was so prepared; the tax preparer was impressed with how easy the returns were. Unfortunately after the fact; the customer service was non-existent. I was unable to get a softcopy of both our returns. Multiple calls and emails later without any response. Finally 2 weeks later I actually got a Live person at H&R block on the phone. When it was all said and done she still could not help me with this issue. I eventually figured out the issue. The tax preparer added the 2020 return to an account set-up for my dead husband. The goal here is for anyone using H&R services is preparation. If you have any issues after filing you may have a long wait getting help from H&R Block.

When I went to H&R Block I spent lot of attention to details, and he took my numbers seriously and I had the impression that they were have a wide knowledge of tax concepts and very practical of what they were doing, plus the fees were reasonable. I will always use their service again because I had a peace of mind with their service.

I Unfortunately went to H&R Block after not having a number from last year that I needed to file on turbotax. I was given an estimate of 1265 federal and 249 state. I was told by the lady from h&r block that the estimate was 550 federal and 31 state. I asked about it, how I could be so far off. I was apologized to and told that the estimate was 1265 federal and 226 state. Then I was charged $190 to have them do it. When I asked why it was so much, I was told that the tax preparer that gave me bad information charged an additional $45 to file something so that I could receive more, and was told that I should be happy she did that. I still got more than $20 less on my state taxes than if I would have done it for free. I was told that it would cost $145 to file, and was charged $190. I will keep the number I need for next year. So that I can do them for free next year. The manager Vicky at the Fountain Valley store told me that I should be happy that they charged me more to get less. I don't quite understand, but never will I go to them for anything again.

So a few years ago I was told they messed up my return and I needed to mail in some paperwork I mailed it in and nothing. So I mailed it in again the next year and the year after that still nothing. They apologized and said there is nothing we can do now. Great now I'm out some money that year I had the same person who has been doing it for about 13 years. They messed up my email and by 10:30pm I was over it I have to be awake at 2am to go to work. Now they are late. That's great will be looking for a new tax person from now on. It sucks to have someone help you for so many years only to have to find someone else.

I gave my taxes to H & R Block in February and since it was for a Trust they only had a few specialists who did those. It is now April 18, Tax Day, and I had to file an extension. I left messages and never received a call back. I went in on 2 different occasions and the receptionist kept stringing me along. She was trying to make me an appointment until one of the workers told her it had to be a certain type of expert since I was doing a trust filing. She then emailed the person and sent a text and told me to call back the next day around 2. I did and had to leave a message. I finally went in again on April 18th and she told me I would need to file an extension. She told me I was in her pile in front of her to call that day. She gave me the form, envelope, and a stamp because if I had them do it I would have to pay $99. She then wanted to make sure she gave me the right form, and once again I had to wait while she talked to other H & R Block offices. She said she thought it was right but wasn't positive. I asked for my tax envelope which she got out of the file cabinet and said sorry. I told her I would look it up and figure it out myself. So bottom line, my taxes sat in a filing cabinet in Martinez, CA for 2 months at which time I had to go online to figure out which form (the form she gave me was wrong) to request an extension. H & R Block is terrible and I will never use them again. I don't have any proofs of purchase since my stuff was tossed aside and never worked on.

I like to let you know that I planning to make as much trouble as possible for poor service I have received at H&R Block.
For over a week I been trying to get the software I paid for on-Line, the email and link has never showed in my Outlook. Have as a scammer would do you have charged me and provided me nothing and I could not find any one to help resolve the problem because of the stupidly of how management has designed you support to drain as much money with no support or after thought. I have wasted 7 hours of my life and I going to bring a suit against you and H&R Block as you are gaggle

I went to H&R Block yesterday to pay for my tax package. The woman had me swipe my card and then said there was an "issue" with their card reader, when there was not. They tried to make me pay twice and I refused. This morning I went to my bank to obtain proof that they took payment from me, brought it to the H&R Block location and was able to get my tax package. The women who helped me today were great. The ones who helped yesterday? Not so much. Do not speak about people like they aren't there. Don't say "she doesn't have the money in her account" when I clearly do, otherwise I wouldn't be here. Do not tell me you voided the transaction when you didn't. The moral of the story? Trust your gut. And don't let people try to make you feel like you're wrong when you know you aren't. I will not be back at that location (Watertown, CT) again.

Used the H&R to file and after they take your money tells you they can't efile your return; you have to print and mail after paying for their deluxe software. They are a scam! They rob people of their hard-earned money and customer service will repeatedly hang up on you. DO NOT USE. They need to be reported to better business bureau.

I have attempted to contact HR Block multiple times about the status of my taxes. They have hung up me 5 times now, the last time put me on hold for 45 mins, the man that answered asked me my name laughed and then hung up. It's absolutely crazy how this company does business. And nothing will ever be done about it. Do not use this company.

You can enter your information for free but they charge a LOT to process it. Very misleading. Isn't that false advertising?

Although i was able to export the previous return, assuming I could import into the 2021 Business on another computer I receive the error message, the H&R software is not installed on the selected folder, try selecting folder where software is installed. Why would you not allow for an export\import option or even better, the individual software saves the return as Txx (T XX-Year). Why not apply this logic to the business software? Terrible mobility and the last year i will every use H&R Block software.

Customer service was non-existent! Waited an hour to chat with one, and that person didn't even know the difference between a social security number and an EIN number for a business... had to go look that one up. My middle schooler knew more! After I told them I was a paying customer, I was then, and only then, given a phone number to call. Again, sat on hold for over an hour. Also, ever time I logged back on after saving my work, I had to go through all the steps again and wasn't able to pick up where I left off. Was constantly prompted to buy something from them... an upgrade or a credit monitoring program. Aside from customer service issues, this software is NOT user friendly... no prompting, no questions, no nothing!

Major glitches in the software and the inability to file my state. Incorrect information was also imported from the previous years. Their customer support is non existent and unconscionably bad. It has been over 8 hours over the past few day and counting and still no help. I am put on hold for over an hour and then the call drops. When I reach someone they give me a case number and promise that an escalation team will call. They don't. I 've been waiting 4 days. When I do get through to an escalation team myself after hours of waiting they put me on hold and then drop the call. I cannot file my taxes I am going to have to get turbo tax and start from scratch. Never again. Their customer support is non existent and unconscionably bad and is dangerous because the bugs in their software can cause problems for you with the IRS

The first time I used HR block for tax filing was in 2020 to file our 2019 taxes and I had a great experience so in 2021, I again used them to file my taxes in bryan Texas and I had a horrible experience. I started the filing online and when I could not upload my documents to their server, I sent several messages to my tax pro and called also on several occasions and no one assisted me. I had no response from the severs messages I sent them and also no response from the calls and messages I left them. After waiting a while, I went to one of their offices in bryan to file my taxes in-person and I had the worse experience of my life in all my tax filing years. My tax pro never spoke to me regarding explaining stuff to me and any time I asked her something and she did, it was quite unfriendly and besides I paid them over $300. I decided to forget about that and file with them this year and the same in professionalism is repeating its self. I used their deluxe app assistance to file my taxes online and contracted the assistance of a pro to review and have my taxes submitted, I did this on April 11th and paid the fees. I have since been trying to reach the tax pro with absolutely no response both via messages and phone calls. I am presently left in limbo not knowing what to do. Egan I log in and check, all I see is the message that automatically appeared the day I submitted my taxes for their review " your tax pro is reviewing your documents". I pray that I am able to survive this ordeal and successfully file my taxes with HR block this year and then I will say goodbye to ever filing my taxes with them or encouraging someone else to. As it stands now the deadline for filing taxes is approaching and I have no idea when my pro will finish reviewing my taxes or for that matter have it submitted to the IRS. This scenario is extremely unprofessional.

H&R Block has the worst costumer service. I was charged three times and its been 5 weeks and still have not returned my money back. I have called, talked to different people and they dont know how to help and dont know what is going. Dont go to this place is the worst...

I am truly disappointed in h and r block they give a guarantee they make a promise they shouldn't cause they do hold true to what they say I've been left to fix the mistake that a tax preparer did on my taxes quit a few of them actually and for months I've been trying to get someone from h and r block to help me with amendment and Ive just been passed around from office to office made appointments after appointments and then at the last min I've been told they couldn't help me they didn't have much experience since January 25 the 2022 I've been trying to get someone from h and r block to help me get this amendment done and I've had no luck I need block to have my back
