HP's reputation is increasingly marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and product reliability issues. While some customers praise the quality and reliability of HP products, particularly laptops and printers, many express frustration over unresponsive support, complicated return processes, and inadequate troubleshooting assistance. Common complaints include lengthy wait times, ineffective repairs, and a perceived lack of care for long-term customers. This growing discontent suggests a need for HP to enhance its customer service approach and address product support challenges to retain customer loyalty and improve overall satisfaction.

Don't buy HP computers that have touch screens. Mine lasted 2 months and HP has advised me that they do not have the parts to repair it. Estimated time to repair will be 3 months. I made a bad choise.
As I said! The quality is remarkable, some devices like printers can work for years without any noticeable pauses, you only need to change the ink cartridges. The reason the mark is not the top one - their laptops and PC`s are not so affordable by their prices, if its not the office appliances, but computers - I would advise to get another one.
After experiencing a boot up problem with a recently purchased up all in one pavilion, we shipped the computer to ho for repair. A month and a half later, they shipped it back, with a broken screen. We refused to accept it, and have been unable to get ho to resolve the issue peaceably. After 3 months of the run around, We are now filing a lawsuit in small claims court to resolve the $645 issue. See you there boys an girls
The laptops are good functioning but the quality is not lasting for long time, they should work on it so that the laptops are worth the cost
Inexperience HP customer service. Purchase 3 years extended warranty for next day on site service. Whenever our office has HP laptop hardware problems we contact their customer service but received no satisfactory solution. It's either they promised to call back once they checked with their 2nd officer or technician or whosoever (like I mentioned earlier their customer service are inexperienced) but nobody ever called back. Our warranty for next day on site service become one month or so service. To further worsen we need to keep calling them back for more than 3-4 times to follow up. HP customer service and technicians have no initiative, inexperience, not customer oriented and not trustworthy in keeping their commitment to their customers. Very slow and taking their own sweet time to settle their customers' computer problems. As an organization, this is unacceptable. This leads to many office work backlogs as the staff's computer are not fixed. They just simply don't care about their customers' problems.
I am using HP Pavilion G4 since last 6 years and turned out to be the best laptop ever. Battery life is just awesome and their service is too quick.
If you are purchasing a laptop for the first time, but HP. It won't disappoint you.
I had a laptop with them years ago. When I started having issues and tried calling up for help, it was out of the country somewhere. When communication could be established, they kept trying to force warranties and products on me. They refused to help until I paid for something. The situation ended up being fixed, but I haven't gone back. HP cares only for your $$$.
I bought an HP laptop in October 2016 for over $1400 at Best Buy. I needed it for business purposes and let me tell you... WORST PURCHASE. DO NOT buy ANYTHING HP E. V. E. R. I've lost over $4000 in profits in less than a few months just because the laptop decides to shut off when it wants too. Freezing everything first and NOT BEING ABLE TO RECOVER ANYTHING once you restart it. Even if I saved the files before anything happens, it only "remembers" it from an hour prior. I've called numerous times, and even tried making a complaint. Instead, they transfer me to 6 different agents, whom I have to repeat EVERYTHING over again, and then keep me on hold until I've had enough of waiting for over 45 minutes. I even called head office in California and they transferred me back to the same people, whom then transferred me another 6 times. NO ONE HELPED ME. The agents wasted my time by going in to my computer and "updating" everything AND still the problem is the same. I tell them that, their response was "O. K. ma'am, I'll call you tomorrow"? I spoke to the Geek Squad that the store initially where I bought it, includes them to repair, etc. After wasting my time with them, they had told me to contact HP as it's a hardware problem, and that's the explanation of where this fraudulent company begins with me. They couldn't do nothing. So here I am today, letting you know from entrepreneur to another, do not purchase HP unless you are willing to lose money with no help at all. Never again. They should be ashamed of themselves.
I am so tired of the planned extinction of some products, so we have to buy more. Several tech products in the last 3 months have updated themselves out of usability, for me.
In my location, I can't get Internet without going to the local business, having to buy something there, wasting more time and money.
The last 2 hp printers I bought were to be simple. As a student, I need to be able to plug in and print. That's all I want, and it is so much easier and quicker. Just leave the product that I bought alone!
I am thinking that each time you tamper with the product I purchased in good faith for my needs, you need to send me a proportionate refund.
JUST LEAVE MY PRODUCT ALONE! IT WORKED FINE, NOW UPDATED ITS SELF, SAYING IT NEEDS THE INTELNET. Tell you what, I appreciate the option, but I need to be able to plug in and print and not have to connect to the Internet. That would be for my files on my laptop or my printer.
And what a waste! We're working on sustainability, right? So disappointed. I bought this laptop and this printer just a couple of years ago. I bought it because it had what I needed. Don't b of changing the use ability for me. I certainly won't be buying another hp anything at this point.
On the phone for almost three hours. No help at all. An automatic software update made it impossible for me to print from my less than 9 month old computer. The software people will not help me uninstall the update, even though my HP printer is not supporter by the new update, because I haven't purchased an extended software update. Interestingly I do have an extended warrant but guess the extended warranty doesn't cover their screw up.
Recently purchased HP Envy series Laptop. Great looks, excellent finishing, fabulous sound quality speakers, full hd display. All together blended to make a brilliant laptop
Didnt encounter their service - so I cant tell anything that can be of use in this aspect.
Concerning the products - they`re good but can be a bit overpriced. Still reliable and I would recommend.
I bought this one 2012 and still going strong without a glitch. The HP support people have helped me install my printer online and help me with other problems that were probably my fault. From the reviews of the new laptops HP seems to have gone downhill. I hope not as I have had such luck with these machines. I am not kind or careful either, often just throw the thing in my purse without padding. Right now it is lying sidewas on my living room floor.
I am sick and tired of getting updates EVERY FREAKING DAY. It's ridiculous that I am having trouble connecting wifi to places and I don't know why it's connecting because my friend didn't have trouble connecting but I don't know why I do. You guys REALLY need to stop the damn updates because I am about had it with HP and it is TAKING FOREVER TO DO UPDATES AND ITS ANNOYING BECAUSE IM TRYING TO FINISH MY DAMN HOMEWORK! If you guys don't fix this, I'm getting a different laptop.
I used to buy HP printers. They're actually well designed. So I bought a $400 model which they classified as a business computer. All of a sudden the 24/7 support became really limited. Imagine that. A fairly standard laser printer with sudden reduced support. HP has one mission: to get you to buy and replace as fast as possible. This increases profits and allows FAT CAT CEO Meg Whitman to eat some more.
They have other tricks also. They don't fully explain how you can resolve an easily resolvable problem with your purchased item and try to hard sell you on a new model. My printer needed to be replaced as it was defective. I hounded their Customer Support, their Executive Support at *******817 (also known as Office of the President ~ which all large companies have and sometimes a good group to air your complaints to), and they wouldn't budge either. Luckily, the Santa Clara, CA District Attorney's office (where their corporate headquarters is located) advised me to inform HP that I spoke with them and they would assist me in enforcing my rights, and HP couldn't take the return and fork over my hard earned cash fast enough. You can bet Meg ate one less scoop of ice cream that night.
This is regarding the back to campus offer HP is providing with purchase of laptops. It seems attractive and some sellers charge more in the name of this offer. That's OK. Problem starts with registration for offer claim. They don't show all the dealers while filling in the mandatory box in the registration form. In my case it took them 10 days to confirm and send a confirmation mail that I am a genuine buyer to hold right for the offer, even after uploading documents and payment. The worst part is... they need another 4 to 5 weeks to deliver me the offer... and I am not staying at some remote far-to-reach place, it's at Sion, Mumbai. Now they are not even replying to my quick delivery requests as I can't stay stuck for that long at this address for obvious reasons.
We really like our printer although we have endless problems figuring out how to get it to scan. I called customer service who was helpful HOWEVER, because the printer is out of warranty they tried to charge me $25 to get my questions answered! WHO DOES THAT?!?!? They 'graciously' gave me a ONE TIME free help. I am BAFFLED! Who charges for customer service? I wasn't asking them to fix it or replace it, just help me figure out the problem (and the fix was 'unplug the printer and then plug it back in!). Final review: great product but someone at the top is a money grabbing fool who doesn't care about customers.
I bought the HP Envy 23 Model D2M89EA. Roughly 2 years back with a customer care pack for 2 years.
Ironically after being 27 days out of the warranty, the screen went blank. I had upgraded the desktop to a Windows 10 some 3 months back so the issue was not due to the OS. That also points to the fact that possibly the system itself is faulty.
I raised case number [Personal Information Removed]. The support consultant could immediately get something on the screen by pressing escape repeated but refused to help further saying that she will send an email. The email did not come that evening. After 14 hours at 9:41, the email came.
Obviously, I could not wait for so long. I tried to restore it. After 15 minutes, it went blank and now it was not accepting even the Escape command. Whose fault was it? HP should have troubleshoot at the given point of time or sent the email on time rather than sending it so late. When I called up, they put me in touch with sales and asked me £175 which is a lot for me.
I want to know what are the options available to me:
A) I will like to escalate this matter up! Can I have the email address of Head of Complaints in UK.
B) Does the problem reflect some basic issues with the system so the charge which has been asked for repairs is unfair? I want to go for my statutory rights to complain against them.
C) Any other suggestion?
Looking forward to your help.
Kind regards

Answer: Impossible by phone since at least December 2023. ( May be before)
Answer: I'm old and remember the HP of 20 years ago. Boy has time changed this company.
Answer: Lenovo is similar to HP, though the performance of Lenovo's computers is complete crap, the upside to it is that they at least have good service.
