Your website is terrible. I just tried to get on to place an order. I will not make another attempt to purchase anything from your site. Your tech doesn't know what they are doing.
If your plan was to MAKE money, you certainly won't do it with things the way they are.

It's not looking good

I placed an order 12/15. The expected delivery date was by 1/2. I wrote them and she contacted the seller, come back and said the seller blamed it on the delays of UPS and the influx of holiday orders. She said they were shipping the next day on a 2 day express. Well, that was nine days ago. And they have already charged my credit card. I really want these chairs but I don't know how much longer I can be jerked around. And I hate those responses like this " Thank you for reaching out to Houzz! I am so sorry to hear that you have not received shipping information on this order. I will go ahead and get in touch with the seller now to see if they can advise on a status update." I would like to hear, What tha hell! Let me get ahold of these people!

Nightmarish experience

I have never written a bad or negative review of any business - it's not my style, preferring to believe that every company makes mistakes or encounters the occasional glitch. Not so with Houzz. Readers, look at all these one star reviews, and BELIEVE them. They offer absolutely the worst, most amateurish and inattentive customer service I have ever encountered, and I've worked in corporate for years, both in retail and advertising. There are no excuses for their consistently horrendous service. They sent out bar stools that were so poorly packaged they were dented, and I had to jump through hoops to return them without paying a shipping fee - for their own damaged merchandise! Another attempt at different bar stools, listed as available, resulted in them not showing up after a month. There is no customer service number on the site, but I managed to track one down on the internet, and finally had a very sincere sounding and totally inept representative explain to me that the stools were back ordered, and would be available in three months. I decided to wait. Three months later, I received another email advising me that my RECENT order was TEMPORARILY out of stock, and would be available in three months. So, that's six months for an order. Now I can't find anyone to cancel my order. And those are just two examples. Look around the internet and you'll see all kinds of negative reviews. I am easily pleased, and not quick to anger, and I am furious by the shoddy way the customer is treated, along with the many inferior products they represent. Work only with recognized companies, and avoid Houzz like the plague - fine for looking at design photos, and nothing else. I wish I could give this review a negative five stars.

RUN AWAY!

I sold on Houzz for a little while. Sellers are treated as poorly as buyers. I stopped selling on Houzz for several reasons. First and foremost, I don't want my name or products associated with Houzz in any way. The customer service is useless, adding items to sell... useless. It takes about a month to be paid after an item after it's been shipped. Over a month for one item to be listed for purchase. I could go on for days. Trust me... this is not a company you want to work with in any capacity.

If it weren't so inept and frustrating, their customer "service" would be comical. Recent "improvements" send you to web pages in different languages, and no matter how many times you change them back, you invariably land at a foreign language site. Products are wildly overpriced, and - all in all - Houzz is just a great way to waste time!

Houzz=A bit of a Mess!

There seems to be no help section for this website, therefore I could find no way to post a question in the forums. As a result this website is relatively useless. I really wish Gardenweb had not sold their website. I used it for gardening questions for years and years. It seems the people at Houzz have no clue how to run a great discussion/advice website. Especially when I compare it to the ease-of use Gardenweb provided. What a loss to us consumers with that fine old website being integrated into the Houzz mess. Tisk-Tisk.

Horrible customer service
December 28, 2015

I ordered a cabinet as a Christmas present on Dec. 5th, that was supposed to arrive around Dec. 14th. It never arrived. On Dec. 25th, I asked for a refund and said it was too late now. Instead of a refund, and instead of contacting me in any way, they shipped another cabinet on the 26th, the day after I asked for a refund.
Now, I've had to contact my CC company to ask to reverse the charges, and I will have to sit by my door and wait for UPS so I can refuse the package.
This company cares nothing for me or my time or my money.
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE JERKS!

First problem was waiting a few days for them to verify my billing information in which I had to contact them to find out what the hold up was. They billed me for the product and proceeded to nothing about shipping. Essentially printing a label. Tracking info billing info only. I managed to reach Rachel at customer service after 3 business days of no tracking activity. No help there. She didn't help me. Here it is Christmas Eve since December 11th order. Stay away from these people. They are worthless. Nice looking site but I can't see how they get any business by treating people this way. I order YU2 speakers at $145 which seemed like a great deal. What a waste of my time and now I might miss any good deal with speakers I am looking for.

I love it

I ordered a Baxton studio bed and I received it within 4 days!, the order was easy and great, the delivery guy was awesome as well. I see a lot of people on here saying really negative things but I just wanted to say that not EVERY customer has a bad experience. When you order they send you a order confirmation and at the bottom they provide you with a phone number. They were great to me.

Terrible return policy

I purchased an item that I tried to return within the specified return time but it coincided with Cyber Monday and I couldn't get a hold of anyone. The messages I received were not clear. On a $55.00 dollar purchase, I have to pay a 15% return fee of $8.25, plus I have to pay shipping which is probably going to be $10.00. Do not use this website. They do not make returns easy and rip you off in the process. So, on a $55.00 dollar purchase I am going to get back $35.00. This is bad business!

We received our purchase and was unable to inspect it within the 24 hour period as to the fact our vanity was delivered at my husband's workplace because we live in a rural area 18 miles outside of our small town and delivery was not offered to our home. We were not ready for the vanity to be set and didn't open/inspect it until a week after we were able to move it into our home... when we opened it, the corner of our vanity had been broken off AND attached back on BEFORE packaging/shipping took place. ( I am sure that karma will happen to the employee that did the dirty little deed.) Neither Kitchen Bath collection nor HOUZZ would offer a replacement. VERY disappointed in the customer service, we also purchased a 72-inch vanity at the same time and it was in excellent condition. Love it. Just didn't appreciate the customer service that was offered to us; considering both our purchases amounted to a little less than $4000. 00, which may not be a large amount of money to these companies, but to working people, we considered it a large amount of money. We will NOT be purchasing anything else from either company,

I wish I would have known that it would be so difficult to get an order done through them. I ordered a table and chairs beginning of November. I got a confirmation email from the vendor and ti would be delivered in a couple of weeks, however the tracking # did not work. I called the shipping company, Estes Shipping, and they said it was an invalid #. So, I called Houzz, and talked to a few reps. I called in and they promised a follow up call/email- and guess what? I didn't receive it. So I called in a again and same promise. I finally found out that the table and chairs got damaged during shipping. It would not ship out until after Thanksgiving. I have a new tracking # and called the Shipping company, they say it may have delivered to another facility. They said for me to call on Thursday to see if it's there. It is now Dec. 1. This is taking way too long for a simple table and chairs order. I regret ever deciding to order through this company. Never again and will avoid eFurniture as well.

Poor quality control
November 30, 2015

I purchased a bookcase and when I removed the box from the case the construction was unsatisfactory. The bottom rail had a long black mark either from the blade burning the wood or a natural discoloration. Either way, the piece had no business being on the front of the cabinet. It was obvious workers tried to sand out the imperfection and hoped the stain would cover the 16 inch long black stripe. Also, wood putty was used on the front divider to hide the tap marks left from burying finishing nails. Lastly, the top shelf was not lined up properly and the thus the back and front pieces were not flush with cabinet. I will modify this review upon the company's response to my dissatisfaction. (Finally, the delivery company failed to arrive on time and showed up two hours past the four hour window promised).

The next cabinet sent was a bit better but arrived without two of the six shelves. Moreover, the bottom did not line up with the front rail. It seems no one is inspecting the product before it leaves the factory.

Houzz is eBay without the bidding or protection that comes with eBay. I recently purchased an item from Houzz. After two weeks of zero information on the shipment of the product I called customer service. As a side note the rep I talked to was very courteous. I was told that the seller, which are in the thousands, was not responding to calls from Houzz. I am not sure what kind of business would allow sellers the opportunity to sell through their website and not follow through. Basically the buyer has zero protection. I was told my option was to cancel the order and start over, which I did. I will order directly from a distributer from here on out. Do not use this website if you want a guarantee that your item will actually ship. If zero was an option on stars, that's what I would have selected.

I ordered an expensive lamp through this company. It arrived flawed as did the 2 replacements. The whole process took over a month and I still have a flawed lamp. There is no excuse for the shoddy product. I ordered the same lamp through Amazon and it arrived quickly and was in perfect shape. It's not worth the discount to shop through Houzz and I never will again.

On Nov. 6,2015 I purchased a lamp (item #SKU: AD -4173-*******) from HOUZZ. I had been looking for a wireless, operated lamp for a space in my home that needs light but has no receptacle. This lamp was advertised on all the sites showing the type of lamp I needed. First I got no confirmation of the sale and as it didn't come in a timely manner I tried to find a customer service telephone #. I wrote up a negative review and then received a receipt giving an order # of 1517-1556-9696-2268 and an arrival time window. When the lamp arrived it was a plug-in type which I couldn't use. Since HOUZZ provides no customer service number anywhere I went back to that receipt and there was a number on it and I left a voice mail. In return I got a call telling me they would notify the vendor to whom I would have to send it back. I contacted HOUZZ to tell them I needed a return label with the weight, and address. They had provided me with an address and a telephone number for the vendor – Arcadia Lighting which when called we are told that they don't answer calls. I cannot get out as I am coming down from chemotherapy and am too weak and exhausted to go out to a post office. I gave up purchased a postal scale, and prepared a label on my own which included the demanded insurance, the postage and restocking fee the vendor requires the total:$71.24. When I typed up the label it came back that the vendor's address was "undeliverable." It appears that the entire exercise is designed so that the customer will simply give up as no return is possible and they have made their profit and the customer is stuck with an unusable item.

After contacting the BBB of Chino, CA (location of HOUZZ) and the IL Sec. Of State they finally responded but only to tell me over and over again that I had missed the window for a return. I explained for the umpteenth time that I had not been given a valid address or telephone # to enable me to return the lamp. They finally sent me a label and I sent the lamp back. They emailed me that I was to receive a refund of $62 for the $98 it had cost me and the refund is still not showing in my account.
