The company's reputation is mixed, with notable strengths in product quality and delivery efficiency, as many customers express satisfaction with their purchases and the overall aesthetic appeal of items. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling issues related to delivery options, billing disputes, and product defects. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support and receiving timely resolutions, leading to frustration. While some patrons appreciate the extensive product selection and smooth purchasing experience, the inconsistency in service responsiveness and problem resolution highlights areas for improvement in their customer service approach.

We signed up with Houzz.com to run a test campaign in one market and are wishing we didn't commit to an annual agreement, because their leads aren't quality at all. They are just a bunch of names who visited the Houzz.com site, where I was told they might be interested in a project. I acquired about cancelling our service with Houzz.com and was basically told that we signed an annual agreement and we'd be sued if we discontinued and didn't pay. As a National Director of Marketing for a large bath and shower manufacturer I'm telling my dealers to stay as far away from Houzz as possible.
**Just wanted to update and say we were finally given a refund. While we were grateful to get our money back, it took too much time.
ALTHOUGH HOUZZ CS IS FRIENDLY: NOTHING GETS DONE. WE ORDERED AND NEVER RECEIVED THE ITEM. APPARENTLY THE "SELLER" NEVER SHIPPED THE ITEM. HOUZZ CANNOT CONTACT THE SELLER (AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS). SO WE ARE LEFT IN LINGO ON A $400 ORDER WHILE HOUZZ FIGURES IT OUT. MEANWHILE, WE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND HAD TO WAIT 45 MINS ON HOLLLLLLD JUST TO GET A LIVE PERSON. I HATE TO SAY THIS: STICK TO AMAZON OR ANY OTHER COMPANY THAT ACTUALLY PUTS THE CUSTOMER FIRST AS FAR AS RETURNS ARE CONCERNED. THIS IS ABSURD.
Our mom's aging-in-place bathroom renovation was a big success - a full wet room concept with zero-threshold shower, linear wall drain and full handicap design w/grab bars and accessible shower fixtures. Also a wider doorway for future wheelchair access, modular vanity, non-slip surfaces, and beautiful tile work. Functional and looks fantastic! Thanks, Rob, Steve and team for a job well done!
Steve designed and built our house over 15 years ago. From the beginning of design to the end of construction it was a great experience. He is very creative and was careful to recommend idea's that were stunning with the use of indoor/outdoor elements. The attention to details, workmanship and materials we used only require minimal maintenance. It looks as good and stylish today as the day it was finished. To this day we are still in touch and he is always available to discuss and recommend solutions to any questions we have. We strongly recommend Steve and we would use him again.
This company avoids all form of communication to cancel pro services. Not only that they show you analytical data that is not real and than claim to do work on your behalf and show proof of it with the same data they sold you with. This company has no moral no integrity or any respect for small businesses. Im 2 months of reaching out to their cancellation dept and no answers no call backs nothing please don't do business with them.
Support members are not that knowledgeable.
Fees for the sellers are also over the roof. Not worth it
Our first time purchase from you, we think you're wonderful! Our package was in great shape, and the product was unharmed, and works great! Thank you so much! We'll definitely order from you again!
Literally the worst company I have ever worked with Houzz is literally the worst advertising company I have ever worked with beware of these people they will lie to you they will promise you the world and produce absolutely nothing I signed up with houzz in the beginning of November they made one call to me at the end of November and then ignored me until the beginning of January when they contacted me in January 2 months after I signed up for the service and said they were ready to get started I told them they were useless and worthless they had been lying to me and stealing my money for two months while doing nothing to earn that money Beware of these people if you're looking for a good advertising agency tri-stay listed I have had very good results with them
Signed up as a contractor was told i would be getting up to 6 clients a month wanting to have projects done from $20,000.00 to 60,000.00, terrible customer service, just a bunch of excuses and nothing happens, i was told by Hailey Hinman, my personal sucess rep, that her manager would get back ahold of me, that was xmas of 2019 today id 1-24-2020, this company totally misrepresents services and misleads contractors, and customers from looking at the reviews, stay away, save the money and advertise directly!

They hire great sales people, but that is all. I wasn't contacted for over a month after signing the agreement, because THEY entered my information incorrectly, I had already signed in with my email and it was correct. They then blamed me for not contacting them... After all that was sorted I hoped for better results. Boy was I wrong... out of about 15 "leads" I only spoke to one person who was just shopping and wanted a ball park price and decided not to go forward with any project... just a waste of time and money. STAY AWAY... I chalked up my 3+k as a loss and moved on... dont make the same mistake!

There lead service is complete waist of money. I spend $4K with them. Have not got a single client. All the leads never amount to anything except a waist of time.
I was sold Houzz Pro because I fell for the scarcity sales tactic. I was told by the smooth salesperson
1. Houzz provides quality leads.
2. There was only one spot left of three in my county.
3. The others had been with Houzz since 2014 and always renewed.
4. Houzz has the highest Branding and Marketing in the world.
5. I was agreeing to a 12 month partnership.
No leads have produced new work for my company. The contract is without a termination clause. I have sent in writing to terminate my account. I have gotten nowhere. I am taking Houzz Pro to Arbitration as they are refusing to own that they lied.
I placed an order and waited for 5 days. I noticed they shipped it to a wrong address based on the tracking number and immediately messaged them, but there is not response. After 5 days, they cancelled my order without any notification. They did not admit their mistake and said it was in back order. But the item can still be ordered on their website.
I purchased some other items in the same order, but they are splitted. Since the other stuff depends on this one, I asked them to issue me a return label and return all the order. No, they don't.
Really suck service and will not buy anything here. No support if there is any problem and you can only message them, which is never responded.

I was over sold by a hard charging sales rep. I quickly felt misled about what I was getting. My photos were not displayed as I was told. I also had a dedicated client success manager for a month or two and while he was a bit hard to get a hold of was helpful to me when we spoke. Suddenly, shortly before I was supposed to have a phone meeting with him he cancelled with no explanation and now I was to just contact their generic customer support when I needed something. Except you can't call them, no one ever answers the phone so it is through email only with a nameless bot on the other side. I let all of that slide and decided to see what the program could do for me but did not receive any leads. My year is up and I realize I need to cancel. Unfortunately they auto-renew which I did not realize. And there is no reminder email as most companies who auto-renew send. I am extremely dissatisfied with this service and strongly advise against signing up with Houzz.

When you sign the contract read fine print. This company has the contract set up the way that it will not remind you that before 12 months you have to remember to send them written notification to cancel the contract. Law suit? Good luck. Want t cancel contract? You have to pay 4 months of your agreement. Have fun advertising with them.

Houzz made three unauthorized charges on my credit card for over $1,600.00 and I could not speak to one person from there company to help me. I am in the middle of disputing this with my credit card company. I had just finished ordering all my family's Christmas gifts only to find out my card was declined. They completely ruined my family's Christmas. They are the biggest lowlife scumbags I have ever seen
We purchased two nightstands and were very disappointed in the "crapsmanship" of the pieces. The drawers don't work, finish is rough and sloppy. When we took them to UPS to send them back, we found the shipping costs ($99 each) was close to the purchase price. When we complained to Houzz, we were told we could place our rating and review on their site to warn other customers only to find they had removed the piece from their offering. We donated the nightstands to charity to at least get a tax deduction. We will never buy from Houzz again! Buyer beware, they apparently don't employ any quality standards and sell cheap junk.

I'm a contractor working with (actually trying to work with) houzz.com pro services. Worst experience ever. They lock you in for another year with a twisted so-called contract, and charge you without consent. Don't go pro with houzz.com. Not worth it. Really. Go spend that money on SEO.

We have had a Houzz Pro account for about 2 years. I just started managing the account in July 2019 and we got a new account manager with houzz at that time Mark Baria! At the beginning I was in contact with Mark and requested information about our billing so that I can keep track of our marketing budget. In that email he included our contract, but never went over the account with me in detail. Which I feel he should have done knowing that I was a new manager here. He also mentioned that he would be in contact with me within 6-8 weeks and update our account with photos. He never contacted me unless I reached out first and there was always a long delay to hear back from him. Our profile page was not updated with information and photos as promised until just recently when I expressed concerns about canceling our account.
I have been keeping track of all our sales and haven't seen very many results with Houzz. So I contacted Mark on October 1,2019 because I wanted to discuss our account about canceling. At this time he never once mentioned our contract that we had a deadline to cancel and that our account would be renewed. Instead he deceivingly hid that information from me and offered to expand our geographical reach to customers.
After about a month of this we still have not seen any result. So I emailed him again around October 28,2019 to cancel our account. It just wasn't working for us as a small business.
Again he NEVER mentions the contract and that it was already too late to cancel. He just says lets set up a meeting to discuss further.
Finally we speak today Novermber 5,2019 and he again tries to convince me about the the account and what it has to offer but after his Speech I still wanted to CANCEL So then he finally says, " well actually it's in the contract that you had to cancel on October 8,2019 and you're locked into a contract for another year of paying $580/month." RIDICULOUS!

I prepaid for a full year and never received one lead. After the year was up they charged me $250 per month and would not refund my money. I'm now having to pay a 4 month fee. I would hope someone would do a class action lawsuit. This is WRONG.

Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
