The company's reputation is mixed, with notable strengths in product quality and delivery efficiency, as many customers express satisfaction with their purchases and the overall aesthetic appeal of items. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling issues related to delivery options, billing disputes, and product defects. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support and receiving timely resolutions, leading to frustration. While some patrons appreciate the extensive product selection and smooth purchasing experience, the inconsistency in service responsiveness and problem resolution highlights areas for improvement in their customer service approach.

I will admit when I'm wrong. My service contract for the advertising was up and I forgot the fine print that said you need a written cancelation 30 days prior or you will automatically be enrolled in another year of the program. So I call and canceled and after discussions with my Houzz client manager, I was billed for four months of fees for early termination. I was fine with that (not happy but it was my fault for not reading the fine print). Five months later they are still billing me, they won't return emails or phone messages. At least my credit card company allowed me to block them from charging me anymore. I'm sure I'll be getting a call from Houzz soon, now that they can't get there money. Would recommend memorizing the contract Houzz makes you sign before proceeding. And just to be fair I was on Houzz for over 6 years and loved the platform, but I will probably be closing my profile since this is how they do business.
Condescending customer service via messages. Can't reach by telephone. If you get lucky and your order is correct you will be lucky. If it's not you're out of luck.

Jack Delaney is one of the most honest, hard working and creative contractors that I know. Jack did a project for me that demonstrated his skills, his ability to work on a schedule, his ability to involve me in decisions and also to give his ideas, as well. Jack's work is meticulous! He tells the customer what will be done each day and when the project will be finished and he truly stays with the schedule. He estimates the cost and allows payments to be made on a schedule. He sticks to his prices which are fair. I would recommend Jack as one of the very best!
Ordered a porch light, 1 week later it was cancelled by Houzz due to out of stock, email from Houzz I would be notified 1st of the month, no follow up! I called to reorder the light since I got a pop up on the light with 4 left, called customer service and was told they would not honor my purchase. I went further into customer service and was reassured I would be contacted back that day. It's been 3 days and no return call.

Very unhappy with this company. I was told it would cost one price to start and when my profile was up the price went up. Was told they screen all leads to make sure they are real. That is all lies. I will be having my attorney get involved in this. Tired of people trying to rip off others. What a joke.

Houzz.com is probably the best when it comes to this. I would refer houzz.com to any business owner, or client.
I ordered a section of wallpaper for a craft project. They sent it with stickers all over back so it wasn't usable. I simply ask for them to resend without stickers. They refused and also refused return.

DO NOT BUY FROM HOUZZ.
I have purchased a NAVY BLUE bench but when arrived, the actual product had a color between a dark washed blue and a gray, nothing like the picture shown on the website. I had to return the item paying the freight even though was their fault on a misleading picture to sell a terrible color. BEWARE FROM HOUZZ

HOUZZ sold me a USED Security Camera as new. After weeks of communication, HOUZZ was not helpful. How would you know if your HOUZZ product was "USED" not new?
Let's start from the beginning.
I ordered a NEW Maximus Floodlight Camera Motion-Activated HD Security Cam Two-Way Talk and Siren from HOUZZ. The HOUZZ vendor was Mooseled. Great buy!
The delivery service sent an email that my Security Camera was delivered but I had not received it. Calling the delivery service, I got the address to which "my camera" was delivered--- the county Jail! That has never been my residence! They refused to deliver the camera to my home. I had to retrieve the pristine unopened package from the Sheriff's Office!
Next step was to have the camera installed. But, the mounting bracket was not in the new-box package. My installer spent considerable time setting up a makeshift bracket and getting it hooked to power. Then the big surprise! Once powered, we called KUNE to activate the camera but were informed that this was a used camera. It was already registered to someone else. It was locked and could not be activated.
We spent weeks asking HOUZZ for a remedy. HOUZZ only wanted the camera back before any exchange. But, returning the camera before receiving a new (really new) one, would need 2 service calls --- one to take the USED camera down, deal with open wires and another to install the NEW camera.
I tried every kind of bargain for weeks. Finally, I offered my credit card as guarantee to receive the new camera and then return the old. No good. I offered to buy a second "new" camera so they could send it and I could replace my old with one service call. Then I would return the USED Camera and install the second new camera somewhere else. Not even a response.
I have talked to other people who have had problems with HOUZZ. Mine was with HOUZZ vendor Mooseled. I ask you, "How would you know if your HOUZZ product was new or used--- unless you discovered it was already registered to someone else"? Would you receive a used product in a factory box and presume it was new?
I am very disappointed and share my experience for your judgment and your information. Make an informed decision when purchasing from this company

I signed up as a professional contractor wanting to increase my leads and overall local exposure. While they promised quite a bit, I did not see the return I was hoping for.
In 6 months I received 5 calls and only 1 was a direct lead. The others were either an inquiry for services I did not offer or were directed to me from a designer.
I opted to discontinue my subscription early and pay the fees ( cut my losses and chalk it up to a lesson learned). I was due to complete my payoff 2 months prior to my annual renewal. And despite my numerous emails to clarify that my payments were being counted toward my early pay off, the payments were never stopped. I was over charged $400 bucks which is a small thing to a large company. You would think that sending emails with screen shots of emails proving my point would help, right...? Nope!
I was given the excuse that management didn't see things my way! So I asked to speak with management about the matter giving all possible ways of contact. Hear I am 8 days later without a response of any kind response.!
I am sure that my experience is not the case for all contractors but it is a sad thing to just be ignored.
Never shall I use such as service to with such poor customer service.

Save your time and patience. I was sketchily being sold the ProService marketing package for Houzz. I was told I could hold the introductory price with a credit card without being charged until I conducted my own research. I was charged two weeks later without consent and it's been nearly a month and they have not refunded me, even though I had been told it would be done immediately. I was also told that I signed contracts, which none have yet to be sent to me.
The level of ethics in this company is so low, its beyond me. Be careful if you are considering working with them. After reviewing the potential contract that I could have signed, there is a lot of sketchy clauses. Beware.

We are a building material manufacturer and our Houzz sales representative pitched us on their "local exposure platform". We were interested in driving potential customers to visit 2 of our showrooms in 2 geographic areas. I let the sales rep know we do not install or provide any labor we just sell materials at factory direct prices, customers need to find their own contractor. A month into the advertising plan I notified the sales rep as well as our "client success manager" that we are getting irrelevant leads for people wanting work performed on their house which is not even in the same category of the materials we manufacturer. They have worked harder to try to keep us locked in their contract than just just admitting this is a complete wrong fit for our business and we should have never been on this advertising platform. We just wanted to cancel and not get billed any further now they are trying to force us to continue paying them for something they know is not relevant for us. We know have to pay our attorney to fight this contract and we'll probably seek all funds back. Stay away from Houzz Pro+ it's the most expensive from of advertising we have ever done and they force you into their contract.

After waiting for over 2 months, they claimed they lost my air conditioner. The price was unbelievably low. I am not sure if the unit was lost or sellers remorse set in. In any event, the response time to my questions was horrible, I never got my product, and refunding was cumbersome at best. I will never shop them again. They're no Amazon.

This is the worst client experience I have had in the past year. Huge issues with their credit card co which is a direct reflection on Houzz. They chose Comenity as their partner. Nothing but troubles in trying to purchase an item with their 12 months payment plan. Transferred back and forth from Houzz to credit card company. I finally told the credit card company to cancel my card that I had applied for online and I am not purchasing my $1500 buffet from Houzz but paying more at Wayfair. Best additional $200 I have ever spent not to do business with Houzz. This was my first attempt to do business with Houzz as I shop Wayfair and I will never make a purchase with this sub par company based on my experience. Don't waste your time here-Wayfair knows what they are doing and they have a professional credit card issuer in Amex.

I have ordered from houzz with no major problems. Ordered a bed on here July 8th. Delivery was slated for 7/15-7/22 after this time passed called numerous times. No on had any idea what was going on. One customer service rep said they don't house the warehouse - ok but they sell it so stand by the delivery - and if vendor doesn't keep to it maybe find another vendor. I finally told them to cancel the order then get a call a week later from the delivery company that it will be here today. 9-1 is delivery window - in meantime i get a text and email with the refund of the order? So which is it? Call up Houzz - customer service told me i could cancel but it is slated for delivery today - i said ok - can you give me a discount (they did give me a discound of 10% originally since it was so late) he said they couldn't give me more - i said ok you would rather have me cancel the order than try and give me another 5-10% discount - yes mama - i have never had such a problem ordering furniture from an online source - this has never happened with the other furniture websites i have used before.

Take your money elsewhere.
My experience has recently been nearly identical to the other reviews on here. When I first started, we received leads and our account manager would call regularly trying to increase our exposure and offer to do whatever they could to enhance our profile. A short while later that customer service stopped and so did the leads. There definitely isn't any branding help with this site and no ROI. They just recently did a bait and switch to get money out of us. They said they would deliver more services if we didn't block them from charging us anymore. The additional services amounted to virtually nothing, more poor and slow customer service trying to get an answer on what more they would do for us, and then after all that, in order to get the additional services they wanted us to sign up for another 12 months with no guarantee of more work, ad assuredly based on their performance thus far, no better customer service.
Stay far, far away. Branding as a service is too nebulous to quantify and definitely not happening with Houzz after a couple of years.

Ordered two lamps. The they came, the color was significantly different from the online photo. The return cost over $100. I'm new to this but will stick to the vendors who are more generous on their return philosophy, especially when the product was not as described.

I am updating that someone from customer service contacted me and refunded my order fully right away after I refused shipment and reviewed them on this site. So I like them better now. They said that shipping the doors was a mistake and I can't really fault someone for a mistake. They happen and as long as they are made right, it's ok with me.
I ordered doors, not a small purchase around 2000 dollars, I ordered them July 10 around 8 pm, before noon on July 11th I discovered the dimensions of the doors and the dimensions that were needed to fit them were different and tried to cancel. I was informed that I cannot cancel. I can only cancel for 30 minutes after I order. I informed them that this is illegal according the FTC buyers remorse laws. It hadn't even been 24 hours? I advised them not to send the doors because they were supposed to ship in early August. Well today, July 26th, they charged my card and shipped the doors just to be awful. They could have had this all handled a long time ago, but they refused. I will refuse the shipment, and filed a dispute with my credit card company, but I don't know how far Houzz will take this. I am in the right, but, I may have to get a lawyer to prove it and it's going to cost them if I have to go that far. My order number is 1638-7187-6125-5015 to verify the purchase.
Susan is a very tall enter designer, not to mention positive, energetic and fun to work with. I was a little stressed about the process of my bathroom remodel, but she really kept things running smoothly. Her contractors were very fairly priced and did excellent work. She helped me decide where best to splurge and where to stay within reason, keeping me on budget. Susan listened to my preferences, but urged me a little out of my comfort zone resulting in a spectacular master bathroom. I love the final product and would highly recommend Susan and her team to anyone looking for a designer.
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
