Houzz has a good selection of product and prices are generally competitive. However, once you order you better pray there are no issues. I ordered many items from Houzz due to a recent move in May 2020. I had problems with three of my orders. One they sent the wrong item (not even close to being the right item) 2) another could not be assembled due to wrong parts and 3) the other item came severely damaged.
I have gone back and forth with Houzz on al of these items. The problems range from sending items back and who should pay for it. I still have the wrong item in my house (as of Oct 19,2020) since Houzz wont have it picked up. The item with the wrong parts they wont respond to. They have agreed to provide refunds on two of these items and yet I still have not received any of them. There is always some excuse each and every time I contact them for a refund. They dont ever follow up. So when they say they will get back to you they never do and you have to keep after them. They have turned off phones and there was no way to talk to anyone. They had problems with their system where some of the email going back and forth just disappeared. Now phones are back on but who has an hour to hold for someone to actually talk to. I wont ever order from them again.
If i could give a zero, I would. Where do i begin?
Ordered the bed back in mid August. With expected delivery in 3ish weeks. Never received the bed nor a status update. After having to reach out to customer service myself, turns out bed is out of stock.
Fast forward to October. Bed is now available. Status shows its at the shipping company Ceva Logistics on october 1st.
Its now October 15th. CEVA had to perform a dock check because they cannot locate the bed in their warehouse. Have called 2 times today, spent 30 minutes each time on hold with no one answering the phone.
Patience has run dry. Company cannot get their $#*! together from updating inventory on the site, to updating customers on availabilty and expected delivery, to using a shipping company that loses the bed in their warehouse. Literally nothing has gone right and will never buy anything from houzz ever again.
If you choose to order, good luck! Hopefully it works out better for you than me, but youve been warned.

So much stress if you order from here. I refused the item and asked my money back. Spoke to so many team members but no body helped.

Ordered a couple tile samples. They took forever to get here. Upon receiving my order the disappointment continued from there. For $9+ I got this tiny little sample that didn't come close to what I had ordered, nor what the seller's picture and description claimed. I contacted customer service for their help. I heard nothing for days, I contacted them again, it took 7 days for them to respond! Finally when they did respond, they claimed that the sample was correct according to the seller. I work with tile a lot, I understand variations. But this wasn't even close. The color in the tiny sample didn't come close to the color description. If this is how Ivy Hill tile conducts their business I would steer clear of them, because you have no idea of what you will receive from them, but they'll claim it's right. And wouldn't that be helpful when you're working on an important project? Austin from customer service is still dragging his feet in getting back to me, as he said they would pay postage for the return tile, but I've received nothing. My order was placed on Sept. 5th, it is now Oct. 12th and still no resolution! I'm beginning to think the houzz website is being run by someone out of their garage it's so amateur in it's business practices. Description of tile: With the mixture of clear, iridescent, brown, yellow, shades of green glass tile will give a luminescent quality to any bathroom, kitchen or pool installation. Does the picture below look anything like what was described?
After 10 days, 10 emails back and forth, and almost 3 hours on the phone in 5 different times, still have not been able to return a bathroom vanity. Lack of response from their customer service and being able to resolve the issue is disgrace.
This would have never happened if purchased from AMAZON.
Enhance Floors was a pleasure to work with in replacing carpet in my home. It was quite a large order and everything went well from ordering through installation. Great people to work with, nice large showroom, smooth installation. I appreciate their expertise and knowledge from beginning to end.
I signed up with Houzz to create my website and it has been the best thing i could have done for my business. Emily created my site and gave it the professionalism it needed for when clients ask to preview my work. She has made this process so easy and is always there to make changes and improve my site as we continue to grow and add new projects. She has also taught me how to navigate through the site and utilize all that houzz pro has to offer. I am excited about being able to do everything on one site and am learning as i go, so her patience is much appreciated. I love working with her and i am so glad that she is the one in charge of my account.

Ordered a chandelier on Sept 10th, with estimated delivery by Sept. 18th. It is now Oct. 2nd, and the order is still "in production" and has not even shipped. Customer service has given me 3 different reasons for the delays, and cannot/will not commit to a delivery date. Customer service reps are very polite and sympathetic, but completely ineffective. Complete amateur operation.
I purchased 2 umbrella stands for my son-in-law's birthday. The umbrellas did not fit well and so I wanted to return. The seller ran me around in absurd circles to the point where I contacted the Houzz team. Their policy is that if nothing is scratched, damaged or different from the picture in the ad then the customer must pay shipping. In these times, I find companies who appreciate their customers and stand by their products are happy to accommodate free returns of items that do not work for their purpose. I shall never buy from this company again.

I was very interested in buying a desk and a coordinated hutch from Houzz.com but every time I selected the items, the price increased ridiculously. It was outrageous! I called and emailed them about it. The rep was rude and did not seem happy to be working. The email was not deliverable as they are apparently too busy. Literally, the site shows the Hutch at $543 (Item#*******) and the desk at $883 (Item#*******). When I click on the items, the hutch increases by over $400 to $948! Likewise, the desk increases by $500! It goes from $883 to $1383. I finally settled on a reputable company whose pricing didn't change when I selected what I wanted to purchase. This company is clearly engaged in a classic scam of bait and switch!

Ordered products Aug 14 and still not arrived. Almost no response. A few responses is that they are going to contact the vendor and then radio silence. I got someone on the phone after holding a long time Saturday last week and they said it was shipping that day as it was on back order, which was a complete lie. Now they don't even answer the phone on Saturday. I just want to cancel my order and cannot get anyone to respond.
I purchased what I thought was a desk because of both pictures and product description. However, all I got was the hutch part. They are charging me $45 to return and I haven't received my refund either. BEWARE of this scam. On all other sites this web site has a rating of one star and are known for being scammers. I only wish I did this research ahead of time.

I have found that my Houzz Pro account has given my company a ton of exposure and as a result it has brought us many new clients over the past 7 years that I have had a Houzz Pro account. It is an excellent lead generation resource for a designer and has provided us with a great return on our marketing investment. Houzz is continually up-grading their Pro account services and I highly recommend it!
We also love the ability to save and share inspiration photos in the Ideabooks and our clients love that option, as well.
Huong Mai is fantastic! She has made the transition to the new Houzz Pro site a breeze. Huong is super easy to work with and very responsive, and the backend of Houzz Pro itself is extremely user-friendly. No complaints!
I purchased a galvanized metal fountain to go with my outside decor end of 5/19. Three months later, it has areas that are rusted and corroded, and Houzz will not answer emails. I am past the return deadline, but galvanized steel isn't supposed to rust at all. They sold me an item that was not described accurately and will not last as expected.
I've bought several things from Houzz, mostly pretty good. But I got a crappy piece of furniture, had to fight with them to return it, and am still trying to get a refund. They have the returned item. They have my money. The promised a refund, which they now refuse to provide. What is wrong with these people? It's been over 3 months, and I'm out $1300... plus, they only accept customer service calls two days a week, what kind of business is that. Never again.

I could not be more thrilled with my new walkway. Jeremy is a craftsman - the stone work is gorgeous. Not only is the walkway and retaining wall beautiful, he pays attention to practical issues like water runoff and impact to surrounding structures. In addition to all this he is a great guy, completely trustworthy and extremely fair in pricing. The bottom line - do not hesitate to go with Russell Masonry you will not regret it.
Be warned just cause it says you will receive your item, it's not true! So disappointed! Ordered a table said it would be delivered 2 weeks after the order date. I can understand, we are now on week 4. VICTOR, the agent I chatted with, was so uncaring about my issue and ended the chat before we were finished. I asked to cancel my order, he said because it was in transit, he wasn't able. Then proceeded to give me the shipping company phone number, so I could track down my table myself. I asked that he contact them for me since I did buy from Houzz. He said he looked on there web site and that was all he needed to do. They might want to teach better CUSTOMER SERVICE! I WILL NEVER Buy from HOUZZ again, and I hope you don't as well. There are plenty of places to buy the same items from, that have great customer service! Very sad!
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!

Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!

The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
