They will not allow you to cancel your account on your own. They require you to call and discuss why you want to cancel, etc. If a product prevents you from canceling, aka tricking you, it's a bad one.
If you end up needing to cancel it's just better to call your bank for a charge back.
Plus -- their 3d floor plan builder is sooo glitchy and barely works. This is the only thing I wanted to use the account for, but it's just not a good product.
Just got a "demo" from Houzz. I was expecting to be sold on this product however, the gentleman was less than helpful and really could care less about helping me visualize how their product could benefit me. Wow, what a let down.

After they sell you the subscription they stop calling, I`ve been waiting for lead since March, they change the accountant manager every week and still didn't help me with my profile. I want my investment back!

We were in need of a new deck as our old wooden deck was starting to show it's age. I found Pulsar Construction online and requested a quote. Alex called the next day and was very kind and professional when going over options for our new deck. The quality of his work is exceptional as he pays attention to the finest details. This company wasted my time and money. I ordered a bookshelf from Houzz, and they contracted the delivery logistics company Ceva for delivery. Neither of these companies have any ability to help with a delivery date that I was very clear about and ultimately I spoke with them and they keep falsely assuring me that it would work out. Well, it didn't work out, I stressed out for three weeks over this mess, and finally had to ask for a refund- less the shipping charges. If one of the six people in customer service had been straight with me, I could have just canceled the order and not have to pay for shipping. So, terrible experience. DO NOT GIVE HOUZZ YOUR BUSINESS OR MONEY- go literally anywhere else.

They refuse to cancel your subscription without first making an appointment to talk to a technical specialist. If you call their number the "specialist" will not be available to take your call. This is a huge waste of everyone's time and is very unethical. I've been using Houzz for about 10 years and have recommended it to many people. I will no longer use Houzz for anything and will no longer recommend it.

Bought and cancelled Chinese lamp very expensive got same identical one 50 dollars cheaper they don't match and couldn't come close always look elsewhere they another store company will have it cheaper Houzz just too expensive

I signed up about three months ago was supposed to have a website live within 2 months I just got the info last week to start my website. I cannot get into my dashboard because they have some email I never heard of that I never knew so I could not set up my site. I talked to a supervisor I told them I want to cancel they told me I could to whatever I wanted but they would pull my money out of bank no matter what I did. I have been trying to get ahold of them and talk to someone that can help but they will not return my calls or my email.

I want to return a rocker that I could not put together because the screws did not work on one section of the rocker. I was not able to tighten them. I have called cust. Service 3x still no resolution. Not sure if I have to pay to have it shipped back?

I ordered a pendant light and got a lampshade instead. Four weeks and four attempts to straighten out with Houzz, still no light. Every time I contact them they have no record of my communication with them. Shopping local may or may not cost more, but my sanity is priceless.

The website is extremely difficult to view on a tablet making the shopping experience a hassle.
Perfect for professional residential contractors. An all in one program to effectively run your business and generate good quality leads. My only gripe is that there aren't many small jobs that come through but still no complaints. I would highly recommend over the competitors.

They talked me into trying them out for a year so I did I paid for a year in full so it would prevent them from trying some bs. Well little did I know they have an auto renew clause that they don't tell you about when they tell you to just try it for a year. I had no idea it renewed until I started getting emails about failed payment. I gave them a card over the phone to pay for the year and did not give them permission to keep it on file which they did. At least to my luck the card expired so they couldn't use it. Now I have been trying to cancel it for a few months and still no luck they are a horrible business to work worth.

This company sends spams every couple days. Even after you unsubscribe numerous times. And email them to unsubscribe.
Sending commercial emails like that without the receiver's consent violates regulations in many jurisdictions. Like in my jurisdiction, them sending me spams without my consent violates Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation.
Spammers are scammers. This company chronically spamming, despite it violating regulations, tells you all you need to know about them.

Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
