Update: I was able to get my refunds despite the initial lack of response. I want to express my gratitude towards the Hopper team and I look forward to re-booking my next trip as soon as the virus situation is settled.

I'm such a big fan of this app and have been using it for years. I used to only use this app for tracking but recently started to book within the app. For its convenience and also for the fact that I want to reward the company that's built such a great product. Things start to go downhill from here. Because of the COVID19 all major airlines start to office free change/cancellation. I had to change my plan but realize I cannot do it directly at the airline's website. I had to go through the app chat that has no phone number or email. I can only leave message to ask for help but so far no responses yet. During a crisis like this, you can really start to appreciate the benefit of booking directly at the service providers'. Hope the Hopper team can get back to me.
Using Hopper for the first time I couldn't believe how easy the process was. And the price freeze feature is the best. Hopper is extremely easy to navigate. I'm a customer for life!
It took a few weeks after my hotel booking, but they were able to get me my refund since I could no longer travel due to COVID-19.
My very first time booking thru hopper and wow I am pleased fast and easy. Never knew they offered money back if price drops! Awesome

I have had hopper for years. You used to be able to watch a place and see the best time to travel there. You once were able to change to flex date and put a few months in to watch, gone. You used to be able to watch regions, like all of Hawaii or the United State and pick the cheapest places to travel to, gone.
Lost 120 on a price freeze deposit. It should be stressed that you will lose the deposit if you don't book in 5 day.
App is great. Think could use more filter options and offer room bookings based on the amount of travelers you have.
Hands down one of the best apps on the market! Check the Hopper every time!
Found good prices on flying - now with coronavirus I need to cancel or get a future flight credit - it's hard getting a hold of a live person.
A few weeks ago I purchased a price freeze for a flight I knew I was going to buy no matter what. I needed to contact a few friends to make sure everyone was ok with the details so the freeze option was perfect for me. Pay a small fee up front to keep the price where it is and get reimbursed when I booked? Sure. During the few days it took me to decide to purchase my flight, the flight had actually sold out and increased by $100 per person. I contacted Hopper support panicking that my freeze would expire and I wouldn't get refunded. Even though they were swamped with customers needing assistance with flight cancelations due to the rising number of travel restrictions, they were still able to accommodate me. Although I ultimately had to purchase a different flight, and this time one with a layover, Hopper kept its word and refunded me my price freeze deposit AND the difference in price between the one I froze and the one I purchased. In the end, I ended up with a worse flight and spent more than I would've originally in taxes/fees, but they were able to assist in a crazy time and refunded me the money I was owed. Reliable site with real customer service and always super accurate with price predictions. Next time though, I may purchase in the moment I see the best price and skip the freeze option.
This app is great for monitoring flight prices but not so great for adding a required tip at checkout. I could of paid the same price for the flight on another :Ed party site without paying a tip.
My fiancé and I are getting married in Mexico later this year so we have used Hopper to watch flights for the last month or so. The prices dropped quite low and we put a price freeze on, making a $40pp deposit. 5 days later the price had increased almost $100 per person! You have to pay the full price up front then you are refunded the difference via PayPal and the deposit is refunded to your credit card. Happy we saved money! Would like the option to view business class/upgraded fares.
Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.
Answer: There is no customer service, no phone number and no one will address your concerns on social media, or through their app.
Answer: DO NOT TRUST THIS APP WHAT SO EVER! They booked 3 nights after I was waiting for my refund. TOTAL SCAM!
