No Refund Worst Company Ever

I booked a flight to Canada to go to Niagara Falls in August. They (Hopper) sold me the flight guarantee. I got an email last week to tell me my flight has been changed with a 2 hour plus delay. Since my mom just passed away I decided that new flight itinerary just wouldn't work for me I didn't want to adjust schedules around anything or anyone! So I first emailed and asked for a refund and then online canceled my trip, I did get an email response back stating they would look into it and then I got another response telling me to call a number. That number was BOGUS! I can't talk to anyone and my customer number wouldn't work. Now no one is answering the emails either! I just lost over $300! It's better to just book directly with the airlines. Forget 3rd party… I saved ( no money) nothing!
I added the email photo that asked me to call another number. That number takes you in circles and NO ONE ANSWERS. Thank you for the link and I will update once I get a true life resolution.

I booked a hotel, they advertised that the pool was available and the pool was not available, it was under renovations. Then I contacted the hopper customer service and they charged me $35.00 to talk to their customer service, they said they would get back to me in 24 hours and they did not, I had to contact them, then they replied with not being able to do anything and I talked to Kevin, Rico S., and Luis G. None of these people were able to answer any of my question. I had a total charge of $277 additional charges I did not approve of and would not give me refund. Then I asked for an accurate invoice and the invoice was discounting the additional charges but I was obviously charged. I could not book another room because of the issue, I had no questions answered and all they could say is that they could not do anything about it. I also have screenshots of the false advertisements. The discounted stuff there was charged either way.

Site specifically has pop up for lower rate, which has you talk to an agent. They basically waste your time on the chat, suggest hotels, just to tell you that the lowest rate is in the app and to just book in the app. Prices are not as low as priceline or hotels.com.

I paid for two round-trip tickets to Vegas for four days along with booking a hotel through them as well. I paid for a luxurious Grand two Queens with a pool side view I got to the grand MGM I'll need to pay another $176. They put me in a basic room with no view grand MGM saw how much money I spent and the next day gave me an upgrade they told me to stay on Hopper. The hotel told me that I only paid for a basic two queens, which was a smaller room. Once I paid Harper they turned around and took the advertising down but I did catch a glimpse of what they had been advertising afterwards I want with a strip view, which means you are on the strip I went back to the front office and showed, the manager at Graham MGM on my way back home. They stuck me in basic economy had me on one plane and my cousin on another the gentleman at Delta Airlines fixed it so we could ride together. I canceled the hotel at the flamingo. I'm still waiting on my refund and that was 2 1/2 weeks ago, please don't use this site. They are scam artist I could've paid $900 all by myself without their hands being in it.

Horrible experience
July 10, 2023

It's been more than a month when me and my friends stayed in a hotel down town Los Ángeles called hotel indigo. We booked it by hopper and it all has been a nightmare. The hotel charged us extra fees like wifi and Pool? It was very expensive and the room didn't even had waters. Staff weren't very nice it was all very bad. So bad we didn't even stayed the last night. They said we where 100% gonna get a refund for that night. I have send 100 emails to both hotel and hopper and they say that I need to be patient it's been a month. Hotel says they have already send the approval and hopper says they haven't. It's been really frustrating. I even talked to the manager of the hotel and said she will refund the "hotel fees" the charged us, but then I called again and they said that wasn't on the record. So it has all been lies and horrible horrible service I just want my money back and hope that no one has to go through this.

Scam!

The worst thing about this App and company is that you get zero support if something goes wrong with your booking.
Booked Rivera Hotel around 11 pm on June 29 and the hotel cancelled because they do not check customers in after 11pm. I tried to get them to modify the booking but they had me pay a fresh fee because the rate had changed. They assured me that I would get a refund since they didn't charge hopper for the cancelled booking.
I used the help center and submitted my inquiry twice. I never got a feedback, it's been one week! 110 dollars down the drain. The bot keeps saying non cancellable, non refundable. What the h*ck am I supposed to do if the hotel policy says no check after 11 and the reception won't let me modify me booking. I am going to write a review everywhere I can cuz people need to know this is a scam operation disguised as a business.
Save yourself the stress and heartache. Any business operating without customer service is a waving a huge red flag. If serving customers isn't a priority, then why be in the service industry? Beats me.

Fraudulent

I booked a hotel through Hopper. Tried to cancel two weeks before the stay, and they told me it was non-refundable. They said the hotel would have to approve it. I talked to the hotel and they told me they couldn't refund it because Hopper took my money. Then I asked Hopper to reinstate my booking and they said they cannot do that. What? So, I'm out a room and $1000.00 DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE CRIMINALS! YOU GUYS SUCK. THUMBS DIWN DOWN DOWN.

They say you are getting a great price but then they charge over $100 taxes to get the price to what the hotel website charges.total scam, you are better off booking through the hotel website, $50 taxes versus over $100 through hopper.

Horrible! Beware!

I booked a flight with Hopper last year when my flight got canceled and then that flight also got canceled. Delta refunded my money to Hopper and for a year now I've been reaching out and they still have never gotten me my refund. Twice I've posted a bad review and twice Hopped asked me to retract it so they could then help me. I did retract it twice and yet I've never heard a word from them so here I am posting again. I've reached out so many times to Hopper for help and yet still not even a peep from them. Beware in using them!

I booked a car rental with Hopper. I chose "SUV" as the car type. After I hit pay now, the reservation came up with "midsize car". I IMMEDIATELY called Hopper and did the chat and it has been 2 weeks now and can not get an answer from anyone. They are telling me I can not cancel because Dollar Rental won't allow it however I called Dollar rental myself and they told me in fact Hopper does NOT pay them until I pick up the vehicle so all hopper has to do is call for a refund or change in vehicle. I was even willing to pay the difference of a car to an SUV. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and also with my credit card company. Not to mention, their prices say "taxes and fees included" then when you hit confirm reservation you then are notified that the car rental company charges you their own taxes and fees therefore you do not save any money in the end. DO NOT BOOK WITH HOPPER.

I do not suggest using this app for car rentals. I booked and fully paid for a car rental months in advance to only get to the car rental company to be told that they were out of cars. This caused me to not only miss my flight, but my entire trip that I had paid in full months in advance.

I tried using Hopper two times now and haven't found it very beneficial. Both times I used the app, when I choose "Round Trip" it gives me a price and then it goes up once you proceed through the checkout process. Here is an example of when I was booking today. It showed a price of $441 round trip. It even says "Round Trip" on it as well. Then as I move to the next page it says it's $441 for "Outbound" only. Then you have to purchase your return flight for around the same price. This website (Hopper) is about double the price than going straight to the airlines themselves. For a round trip flight from Spokane to Orange County California it would be around $900 on the Hopper website. I booked round trip with Delta airlines directly yesterday and I paid $465 out the door with fees and everything. So far, I don't see this website being valuable. See photos I uploaded for proof of what I am saying.

I was sold an itinerary that Hopper did not honor! After I booked a flight, the starting airport was changed WITHOUT informing me! I only realized this when I checked the airline booking! I reached out to customer service(which I learned you need to pay extra money to actually speak with a person!) when I realized this change. NO RESPONSE for six weeks! When they finally did respond they just said 'this happens' and shared new flight info. With the airline, even though bookings were still being offered from the airport I originally booked (by other airlines). Then, the week before my flight, Hopper reached out to me to let me know there was a change in my flight and I had to rebook, even though, according to the airline, I already had the ticket Hopper was prompting me to rebook. It was confusing and I arrived at the airport with no confidence in this booking. I will NEVER work with Hopper again!

Worst experience

They took my money and no flights I am taking them to court. They kept saying that the airline didn't refund the money when I was able to speak with the airline they said they refund all my money back to Hopper. Don't trust this app.

I used their app to book a hotel in Niagara falls. They advertised it as a room with the view of the water but that was not the case. So I tried to reach them using the "VIP" support system but took for ever to get a hold of them. Then they kept giving me a million reasons but never admitted for false advertising a room and conning me of my money. I want to sue them for being such big liars and robbing me of my money.

FREEZE RATE

Freeze rate is a scam. They basically steal your money. Guide your through what to do with a rep and then when the rate changes or the room is not what you wanted, they say sorry we are keeping your money. WORST EVER. Customer service is horrible. NEVER USE THIS APP.

SCAM SCAM SCAM! Stay away! I booked two return flights and paid extra for their Change For Any Reason scheme. I have attempted repeatedly to change our flights without success. Customer service is useless and slow. Hopper is designed to rob you. Disgusting.
