I have still not received refunds for flights I booked on hopper back in February/March. Because of they have no customer service I was unable to cancel those flights directly with the airlines and since I booked through hopper airlines wouldn't refund me directly. I reached out to Hopper many times and still have not heard from them 6 months later. I also paid for travel insurance through Hopper and have no way of getting a refund for the flights or any way of accessing support to get refunds on those flights that I paid for travel insurance on. I do not recommend using this company, it is very unethical the way that they take your money and have no customer support.
I am extremely disappointed no refund or communication. No phone # to contact them or email only app chat and never get a response been trying since may. Was told frontier would honor the cancellation. Frontier same scenario refuses refund and tells me I have to go through hopper. Please take my advice they will take your money and you will not see it back STAY AWAY! Covid or not its not an excuse to take advantage of people. I pray one day they will face the consequences of stealing from individuals!
There is no phone number, no email, no mailing address - NO way to get a hold of customer service! Airlines canceled my flights and I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company AND file a complaint with the Department of Transportation to get any response from Hopper. Hopper still has only refunded SOME of the flight costs and has never reached out to me, until today. Hopper website says "The value of your ticket is safe and you will receive the full amount offered by the airline. Hopper never charges any customer service fees for these transactions," but today Hopper tells me (finally got an email from Eugene in customer service) that "the $290 fee for Hopper's Refundable Booking Plan is a non-refundable purchase, even in the case that you cancel your trip for a full refund within free cancellation window or if the flight is cancelled by the airline." What now? Hopper still hasn't refunded one of my canceled flights. So I had to file another charge dispute with the credit card company and the Department of Transportation. Hopper is super shady. NOT WORTH THE HASSLE AND RUN AROUND!

My flight for Fort Lauderdale was canceled on March 2020, today August 21st I have not received any new from them, no refund or no credit from Air Transat. When I am calling the airline they refer me to Hopper since à have dealt with third party.
Furthermore reaching someone on the phone, it is impossible.
It is the last time I do busInès with them.

In June 2020 I bought three round trip tickets from Fort Smith, AR airport to Fort Myers, FL. Upon arrival at the airport at 545am on 8-8-2020 we learned that Delta no longer flys out of that airport. So needless to say, we did not have a flight from Fort Smith to Fort Myers. At the last minute we had to find and purchase one way tickets, which cost more than the original round trip ticket, and had to drive two more hours to the Tulsa, OK airport to get a flight to our vacation destination. We incurred additional expenses for the extra tickets and our drive to the airport and arrived at our destination five hours later than scheduled, which caused additional problems with our car rental and with the rest of our vacation party. I purchased the travel insurance, so I assumed Hopper would make things right by refunding the entire ticket or at least the part Delta did not refund or in the very least covering our additional cost. Hopper did not do anything except make excuses. Delta refunded the portion of the original ticket to our destination. This refund did not cover our extra expenses. This was not a good experience with Hopper and I will look elsewhere for tickets in the future,
AVOID! There is NO way of contacting anyone when they double charge you, cancel your flight, or any type of change occurs. You will NEVER get your money back or even a credit. It is WAY too huge of a risk. I would have rather paid more and gone directly through the airline because at least I wouldn't have thrown away money when no one to help.
I've used for years. Now zero customer service. Self service changes don't go thru or get approved. Zero stars!
My flights was cancelled by Hopper late March 2020 to this day I have no refund! Airlines allready refunded but *******@hopper! Every time I ask I get never ending email how sorry they are but I have to wait for my refund? Never again I would deal with this company. Be aware everyone!
My flight was cancelled due to Covid. I submitted my request for refund in April after getting notice of the cancelled flights. It has been well past 90 days and still no response. I'm very disappointed with this service. I will never book through them again
I purchased Delta airline tickets through Hopper app and paid additional fee for refundable tickets. The event I was attending was canceled due to Covid-19 and I was not issued a refund from the company. Furthermore, there is no customer service number to contact them or email address. The airline provided a number that was out of service. Delta airlines also refused to issue a refund and will only provide a voucher even though I paid for refundable ticket.
I've been waiting over 5 days for a change, they said I'll get a response in 24 hours. What a joke. STAY AWAY!

So here is my message to them:
This was my first time using hopper and your price freeze feature. I was unable to board any of the price frozen flights because I became ill while in Mexico. I was almost surely expecting to take the first flight I price froze when I had 280$ in credits, but right when that window was about to close is when I became ill.
I was not sure when I was going to be able to travel home, but by the time my last price freeze ended on the 7th, I was still not able to. I was not able to travel until my fever was gone due to temperature checks at the airport. My condition also would have made travel, especially a long international flight with layovers like that, very difficult. I had two trips to the doctor in Mexico, which I can send you documents of if you would like.
Had I simply booked the first flights I price froze through the airline at that time, I would have been offered free flight changes or credits to be used at a later date. I chose to use your company because it seemed like a credible and well regarded company that I could trust. I would hope and expect that given the current COVID-19 situation we are all struggling with, that you would offer me a full refund for the deposits or at the very least the 280$ of credits to be used on your app at a future date.
Hopefully you can see this, and provide resolution, and I can delete this review (*******@gmail.com).
We were scheduled to travel at the very end of March into early April to Italy and Greece. When travel was restricted I tried to reach hopper and was told through an email that I had to go through the airline. Called the airline and was told I had to go through hopper. Hopper said in an email that we would be refunded but it could take up to 90 days. Went back to airline to try again, still without success. Reaching out to credit card company. Probably should have started there. So disappointed to miss our trip as well as out a lot of money. Do not book through hopper.com.
The refund process is horrible.
You guys didn't refund me the amount you committed to with the insurance I purchased. I cancelled my trip because of COVID and you STOLE over $250 from me and my family! And there is no phone number or email to speak to anyone. I've purchased airline tickets from you guys for YEARS! NEVER AGAIN!
I used to write nothing but five star reviews for Hopper. Then, during the Pandemic, Hopper decided to cut their overhead at the expense of customers. They shut down email links, they turn off phone lines and they laid off Customer Service Representatives. All to save money! They left me stranded with multiple tickets to China. Shame on them. Overnight Hopper went from a respectable company to a organization that can not be trusted.
Do not trust this app. They will take your money and won't return your requests. They took $100 from me.
Complete scam that is using the pandemic as an excuse to hold your money that airlines have refunded for cancelled flights. There is zero customer service and no phone numbers. They do not monitor the chat rooms in the app and only send bot responses. I received an email from Hopper on 6/1/20(from a cancellation request made on 3/27/20) saying the airline approved a full refund and that it could take up to 6 weeks to post. It's been 9 weeks and not a word from Hopper. This is for flights in May to Hawaii that were cancelled by the airline. There is absolutely no reason I shouldn't have my full refund by now. My husband is an attorney and is in the process of pursuing legal action. NEVER use this 3rd party app EVER. Hopper - refund my booking now or be prepared to have legal action taken against your scam.
I book 2 flights with hopper and my airline (Swiss) cancel the flight. Hopper told me they couldn't give me my money back and I had to handle it through the airline. Even though my airline gave refunds and vouchers due to cancel flight, Hopper decided to get some easy money. They stole the money and just told me to ha fle it with swiss. Swiss can't do anything because it was book through a travel agency! Which is obvious. So the moral of the story is: NEVER BOOK A FLIGHT THROUGH HOPPER, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND THEIR SERVICE IS THE WORST. Better book through the airline so you can get your money back if your flight gets cancel.
DO NOT USE. Application functions have been purposely deactivated, so it will not allow me to request a cancellation, no phone number works just a voicemail "this is not checked, cancel online", chat functions loads for 10 seconds then stops. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! If it seems too good to be true then it is.
Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.
